Bought a box of ten pieces of sushi (at $9.50 per pack) from this Kuriya outlet. So many choices of sushi available here which they all looks equally delicious and attractive. The shop is quite squeezy but still descently cooling. The sushi is packed in a simple packaging but the colourful sushi before I eat it already attracted me. Especially like the scallop and salmon sushi which are very fresh and fragrant. Scallop is really fresh and big in portion, and the Japanese rice is soft and moist at the correct texture. The seaweed wrap also not too salty and goes well with the ingredients and rice. Service here is friendly too.

Kuriya Japanese Fresh Fish Market is known for its sashimi and sushi takeaway. But I heard from a friend that its bread pudding is very popular too that it was sold out when she came to look for it the last few times. From the first glance, it looks like a square piece of cake, dusted with powder sugar on top. It tastes soft and sweet. Just missing the milky sauce and some dried fruits on top. It justs costs $1.90. Delicious and cheap dessert.

I'm at Nex again to hunt for dinner. Decided to buy fresh sushi from Kuriya market for tonight.Assorted sushi & sashimi bento set $16.20This set consists of 3 kinds of sashimi, 4 kinds of sushi and 2 mentaiyaki mayo maki. The sashimi slices were fresh and juicy, thickness is just right. The 2 mentai maki were wrapped with torched salmon slices and topped with generous amount of mentai mayo and tobiko roe....it was extremely yummy. The 4 assorted sushi were alright.Inari Salmon sushi $5.00I loved the sweet beancurd pouches with rice, topped with chopped salmon pieces & cherry tomato. The fresh salmon gives the sushi a refreshing texture...nice.

My friends and I were looking for some light meal and thought of having sushi for our dinner.I chose the sake sushi(salmon), unagi sushi, corn sushi, egg mayo sushi and the cucumber sushi.(:It was my first time trying sushi from kuriya and my friend recommended it to me. Each standard sushi cost around $0.50-$0.90, depending on the flavour. There are some other sushi types that cost more.I spent a total of $3.40 on the 5 sushi. The place feels comfortable too, presentation of sushi are well.(:I like the taste of most of the sushi;D especially the egg mayo sushi. The egg mayo sushi I get from elsewhere sometimes taste a little bland but the one I bought here is not. The mayo is sufficient and it gives the sushi the nice taste;DIt is the same for the corn sushi. The cucumber and unagi sushi is sweet and yummy too^^Just that for the salmon sushi I don’t really like the taste. I would normally love salmon but the sake sushi I bought here has a taste that I didn’t like.Overall the sushi at kuriya is not bad, will consider buying from here whenever I crave for sushi;D

I was craving for some sushi and decided to drop by Kuriya at Srgn Nex. I loved how it is located in Shokutsu 10 where there was a cluster of small restaurants and snack stalls all selling Japanese related foods.Anyway, i picked an ebi sushi and kani mayo sushi while my friend picked some roe and seaweed sushi.-Both my sushis were awful. The ebi sushi was pretty ordinary i had to say, but i was definetely expecting more from my kani mayo sushi. I was sorely disappointed when i could barely taste anything (mayo was not enuff) and that the whole sushi was poorly made and falling apart. It isn't cheap either at about $0.90 per sushi (depending on which types. Will never get my sushi from this place again.
