Introduction
Osaka Ohsho is the destination for handmade gyoza (meat dumplings) that have been skilfully pan-fried to be deliciously crisp on one side yet tantalizingly moist within. The filling is made with a combination of tender pork shoulder and leg cuts as well as cabbage, garlic and ginger. Chuka cuisine in Japan typically showcases well-known braised and stir-fried Chinese dishes enjoyed with Japanese rice. Customers can tuck into a good range of '<i>Chuka</i>' specialties served a la carte and as part of a set. continue reading

Ordered a set of pork curry Tianjin rice with dumplings. Dumplings were comforting. Rice bowl was Super heavy for me.....the amount was unreasonablely large, though the taste still decent.I guess that's the difference between it and those higher price restaurants - where a set could be diversified and balanced with veggies, fruit, and more delicate mains. continue reading

Reached there in late afternoon. Seem like crowded too. Waiting time is short. We started to order Fried rice set, black vinger chicken set and vinegar pork set. I like the soup as taste simple but tasteful. The fried was good but slightly salty. The signature disk was Gyoza dumpling. Almost all set serve with Gyoza and soup. It is nice but I found is not hot. Overall was good for filling my stomach. My guests also felt can be better. continue reading

First time here. Ordered via the iPad, very high-tech. Ordered the children meal, together with Ramen and gyoza. There are 2 choices of childrens meal. We ordered the set which is nicely set in an aeroplane, with rice, gyoza, and fried chicken. While the serving is attractive to a child, the taste is only so so. I think the chicken is a bit too salty/marinated for a child. A bit disappointed with the gyoza, as I had great expectations of it before i come. But it tasted a little bit burnt. The ramen which I ordered is the prawn ramen. I like it because it is not as salty as those I've tried elsewhere. Noodle serving is ok but prawn/other toppings could be more.Service by staff is very good as she attends to our queries and requests promptly. Ambience here is also good - not too noisy during the peak hours. continue reading

This is one of my favorite place for lunch as they provide reasonable priced and delicious lunch sets. however, during lunch time it could be quite crowded. I ordered the ramen set which is the cheapest set of the restaurant. Cost $9.90++ comes with a bowl of char Siew ramen and 3 pieces of their signature Gyoza. The ramen soup is rice and the noodle is chewy with 2 reasonably size char Siew. Value for money.  continue reading

We were there on a crowded Saturday, and had to queue for a table, but queue was fast. The place is quite cramped with tables very near to each other. Not quite a place for chitchat and hangout, it is somewhere where you have your food and leave immediately after your meal.We had the Eggplant Gyoza Set and Tenshin Gyoza Set, priced at $13.90. Quite a good price for a set of main and gyoza. We wanted to try the gyoza, so we thought the set would be a better and more worth it option. The portion was quite big, especially the Tenshin Set. Fluffy fragrant rice soaked in rich goodness gravy, the Tenshin Han is a real comfort food to me. Warm and comforting to the stomach, it's just awesome! Love the gyozas too, panfried and slightly crispy on the skin, they were juicy and tasty! I like the ice hoji cha too, very refreshing!!My friend had the Eggplant Gyoza Set which she loved as well. Special mention must be given to their white rice, cooked to the perfect texture and very fragrant, which is extra appetizing to eat with the eggplant. continue reading
