Was browsing along MBS area and search for this place as heard review was good especially pizza. The place is easy to find and along a Long walkway. It was filled with a lot of customers from foreigners and less locals. The menu is difficult for me and ordered their signature pizza. The name is dame long “ Bacon , salame, fennel , sausage, pancetta, tomatoes and Mozzarella pizza. It accompany with a special biscuit as appetiter. We need to wait for about 20mins and surrounding decoration is very Italian style too. I enjoy the view with 2 big funnel for their preparation of pizza. Finally the pizza was served. First sight of their crushed and very thin skin. It is so delicious from the look and toppling with some grinded pork meat , sausage and mozzarella. The taste is dame good as fresh for its smell already. I think it about 10-12 inch. The skin is crippy and really hand made fire under charcoal in furnace. Roughly for 2 pax but if you are a hungry eater , then a pasta will make is perfect. Will come back for its pizza. continue reading

Pizzeria Mozza is owned and operated by Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich and Nancy Silzerton. It has outlets in Los Angeles, Newport Beach and also Singapore. The outlet in Singapore is located in the Galleria Level The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (Across from the Theatre). Although it has already past 9.30pm, the dimly lighted restaurant is quite packed and we are showed to counter seats. Although it is counter seats, the high stool is surprising wide which one can seat in comfortable easily. We have a good view of the bartender making the drinks.Menu is a simple looking one with no pictures on. As it is our first time in this outlet, we decide to ask the staff for recommendation. After placing the order with the bartender, we are served water and crackers in a paper bag. The triangle shaped cheese crackers are made in house, with shredded cheese on top. Cracking crispy with a yummy cheese taste.Mussels al forno with salsa calabrese ($18++)The baked mussels are served hot with creamy thick sauce and crispy toasts on top. The mussels are tiny in sizes, with a few taste not too fresh. It is quite a disappointing dish despite being a recommended dish.Prosciutto di Parma ($31++) rucola, tomato & mozzarellaThe pizza has a waiting time of 30 minutes. One can easily see the 2 cooks flipping the dough in the front of 2 ovens in the middle of the restaurant. Although the toppings look simple, the pizza actually tastes quite good. The bitterness of the rucola, the tangy tomato sauce and the salty parma ham balance each other. What I like best about this pizza is the pizza crust, which has a soft and chewy texture, as well as, it is hollow inside. Which makes it quite different from the usual pizzas which usually have hard like breadstick crust.Overall the food is great and yummy. The service is great with the staffs being quite friendly and easy to get their attention despite being busy. Although it is past closing time when we are done with the meal, the place is still crowded and customers are not pressured to leave the place. I am looking forward to try other pizzas next time. continue reading

Have heard very positive reviews about Mozza from friends and relatives. After a visit to the Ice Exhibition near MBS, my bf and I decided to head to Mozza for our teabreak. Even though it was neither lunch nor dinner time, the restaurant was filled with customers, especially ang moh. We could see that all the waiters and waitresses were very busy serving and taking orders. After 5 mins of wait, we were ushered to our seats at the counter top. I think the menu could be more descriptive in terms of food. They were described in some foreign language and we had a difficult time trying to decipher. In the end, to save trouble, we decided to ask the waiter for recommendation and ordered Meatball and Pepperoni pizza. Waiting time was about 20 minutes and we were waiting eagerly for its arrival. Indeed, the pizza did not disappoint us at all. The crust was baked to perfection with burnt smell and crispy edges. Every slice of the pizza has a lot of meat and toppings on top of it. The crust was not very heavy and thick too. Both of us managed to finish the whole pizza! I would definitely make a trip back again though price might be a little pricey. continue reading

After visiting one of the popular exhibitions at Marina Bay Sands, Charmaine* and I decided to have dinner at Pizzeria Mozza's - an urban Italian restaurant serving unique creations of wood-oven pizzas by a very hospitable service crew. A pizza bistro / restaurant filled with happy diners chatting away on each table, Pizzeria Mozza's oozes warm Italian hospitality and a very easy-going ambience. There were large "brick ovens" reminscence of an old-fashioned Italian trattoria, where one could see the chefs busy at work through the windows, preparing the delicious pizzas for its zesty patrons. The Honey Glazed Chicken Wings came first - large, juicy and simply tender. I did not eat the greasy, non-crispy skins though - the large chicken wings offered more than enough well-flavored, silkened flesh for us to devour. This dish definitely opened up our gastronomical capacity for the upcoming pizza.Yes, the woodfire oven Parma Ham and Mozarella Pizza was dished to us - thickly crusted, crispy and tantalizing with the hints of charred smokiness - I love that, for some reason. The ham and cheese were deliciously saltish, paired with the rocket salad atop, and the crispiness of the pizza base - the burst of flavors and sensations was amazing. My colleague suggested going to Pizzeria Mozza for dinner after our trip to the ArtScience Museum. Initially, the rest of us were quite skeptical as we thought he was joking, to dine at a celebrity chef restaurant at Marina Bay Sands. However, it was for real. We then thought, since it was our pay day, why not gave it a try? The restaurant was very crowded but luckily, there was no queue forming yet. The environment was quite dim but very vibrant. Compared to the high class sister restaurant next door, Osteria Mozza, this restaurant is more casual. We felt very relaxed and comfortable in there. Their table mats were very interesting, all having different designs, some with quizzes, for you to ponder before your meal is served. Many of the words in the menu were in Italian, and we couldn't quite understand. We asked the staff to translate and explain to us the names. They were very willing to help us and always served us with a smile. At first, we were attracted by an item in the menu, ie fried pig's ear and we actually ordered that. unfortunately, the item was not available.Since this restaurant's specialty is their pizzas, we definitely had to order that! They have so many different pizzas and the price ranges from $24 to $37. We were seriously spoit for choices. There were 5 of us and the staff told us to get 3 pizzas first, should be suffice. We ordered friend potatoes with rosemary and chickpeas, and also mussels for our sides. The potatoes tasted really good but the mussels were quite small. We loved the sauce that came with it though.Complimentary crackers were served to us in a brown paper bag before our dishes were served. Nice gesture!Funghi Misti, Fontina, Taleggio, Thyme ($30)Generous fillings of a variety of mushrooms with herbs. Lovely!Bacon, salami, fennel sausage, pancetta, tomato & mozzarella Pizza. Definitely a hot favourite for carnivores! A galore of meat! ($37)Pizza alla benno: Speck, pineapple, jalapeño, mozzarella & tomato, really nice as well. ($35)All the pizzas tasted so superb! I would definitely come again with other friends or family members to try out the other types of pizza here! Moreover, it was affordable. Each of us paid only $32 for the great meal. continue reading
