South Bronx is located on the ground floor of POMO, facing the main road. It is owned by the same people behind Montana and Fabulous Dough.  Hence, you can order food from Montana and fabulous dough and enjoy them along with burgers from South Bronx! Looking at their menu, they have kept it pretty simple with about 7 savoury burgers, 4 dessert burgers, a couple of side options and drinks. Their burgers aren't your typical fast food burgers. They have home made patties with their freshly baked potato buns. Fries are also sold seperately. Interesting items that stood out, were Umami burger with a beef patty with miso mushroom and bonito flakes, The Mac Daddy with jalapeno and mac and cheese (sounds like a burger version of Montana's wafflelized version of Mac and Cheese) and Lemongrass Prawn with green curry mayo!Their ice cream burgers are truly interesting and definitely a "project" to try them all! Red velvet with hazelnut rocher icecream, coconut nutella sauce. Black sesame with green tea ice cream and azuki beans with white chocolate sauce and the one I came here for, Thai Iced Tea! It sure looks like South Bronx is utilizing the same key and signature ice cream flavours from Montana, since everything comes from the same centralized kitchen! Not a bad choice if you ask me!The interior of South Bronx is pretty laid back and really made for the young hipster crowd. Vibrant and colour graffiti all over the walls and the stools are in a bright green colour that helps cheer up the whole location. The high ceiling rises up towards Fabulous Dough.

1. Lemongrass Prawn $10.90+ add $4+ for a drink and triple friesThe faintly toasted bun was sweet and spongy mainly due to the green curry mayo. The sweetness of the bun paired with the lack of beefy and savory notes led to a sweet burger that was filled with a familiar lemongrass flavour. You could midly taste the prawns in the patty, the green curry mayo was more distinct. The bun would have worked with a thicker and well seasoned  prawn patty.I could definitely foresee alot of customer thinking of the MOS burger's Ebi rice burger, but this patty isn't as floury and crisp as MOS. Think of a McChicken with prawns all mashed up together, that's what you get. I did like the bun and the sauces together with the prawn patty. A truly unique and fusion burger!

2. Southern fried chicken wings $6.80+I had their southern fried chicken wings back in december prior to South Bronx's offiial opening and since then, their wing recipe seems to have improved. The skin of the chicken is still crispy and non-oily, but the digging in, the chicken meat seems to be juicier and tender.I liked the dip for the chicken wings, it was slightly tangy and sweet all at the same time. They did a great job preventing the chicken wings from being too dry!

3. Fried Mac and Cheese Fritters $8+I always recall my time in the US, where I had fried mac n cheese bites from a local petrol station on a weekly basis and I'm glad that South Bronx has their own rendition of fried mac and cheese fritters. Rolled up into a ball and served with the familiar Tomato relish dip (the same dip served at Montana with the Mac n Cheese Waffles)Be generous be the sauce as it adds necessary the saltiness to the fritter. These fritters definitely hit the spot for me, but on another note, when you poke open the fritter, everything falls out. One would've expected the cheese to gel all the macaroni together, but I think there's a lack of cheese in each fritter, to give it the "cheesey texture"The batter on the outside of the fritter stayed crispy while the inside stayed moist! This is probably my recommended side at South Bronx! Or if you prefer a wafflelized version, top up $4.50 more to get the Mac and Cheese waffle from Montana

4. Thai Iced Tea Ice Cream Burger $5.90+ *Highly Recommended*I loved Thai Iced Tea, and even more so, in an ice cream form. This was an interesting creation, ice cream sandwiches but using South Bronx's burger buns instead! The ice cream scoop was pretty big and the buns were slightly smaller than their savoury burger buns. The buns seemed to be frozen or rather, slightly too hard for my liking.The butter buns with layered with mango white chocolate sauce  before the thai iced tea ice cream was sandwiched in between. It's a rather instagrammable dish. Definitely a dish that would be a hit with young girls with a sweet tooth!

5. The Bronx $9.90+The burger was juicy, and this was re-enforced by the moist, dense, potato bun that is made freshly at South Bronx. The burger patty was just firm enough to linger on the palate and hold its own! It didn't really squish and flatten out when held up. The sauces were pretty juicy, but the patty didn't have a strong beefy taste as I would've expected.The bun was exactly what I hoped it would be...dense, moist, chewy, savory, slightly sweet...you know, like a puck of satisfying soft bun goodness.I would definitely head back to South Bronx for more ice cream burgers and since I can order food from Montana, these ice cream burgers go superbly well with the Cold Brew Coffee from Montana! You're basically spoilt for choice at South Bronx when it comes to burgers, there's something for everyone, even if you're not a beef eater!

Overall : Interesting burger projects, both savoury and sweet. Reasonable prices and convenient central location.

We tried The Bronx that comes with an in-house smoked bacon, Gochujang Beef consists of gochujang coleslaw, The Unami is with mushroom and The Mac Daddy, topped with jalapeno mac & cheese. the only non-beef burger we tried was the Lemongrass Prawn.First was the Lemongrass Prawn Burger with thelemongrass infused prawn patty. I could savour the sweetness of the prawn and the lightly scent of lemongrass. It complemented well.The Unami beside the beef compose of miso mushroom, sandwiched with bonito flakes and mayo. A pity, the mushroom flavour were not strong.Classic ingredients such as the beef patty (the key ingredient), sauce, melted cheese and bacon existed in The Bronx. Though it may sound like a typical classic beef burger, it is the smoked bacon that differentiated itself from the rest in the market.A humble looking burger was The Mac Daddy. I was skeptical when I spotted the look. But it turned out to be our top favourite burger among the 4 we tried. All the ingredients assembled in The Mac Daddy not only complemented each other but more importantly enhances, taking the taste to the next level and even to perfection.One could choose to top up to complete the meal with a triple fries (normal fries, curly fries and criss cut fries) and a drink. Optional add on to the burgers are also available. We tried the truffle fries. Fries wasn't the best but was pleasantly delish.The Southern Fried Chicken Wings was the one we tried out of the 2 sides available. The chicken wings absorbed the marinate and were tender. We prefer eating it without the BBQ sauce.A pity only the Red Velvet Ice Cream Burger was available. The scarlet coloured bun together with Hazelnut rocher ice cream, coconut nutella sauce and granola topping added to the crunch was heavenly.
We enjoyed the burgers and the sides served by South Bronx Burgers. Especially when all the ingredients were made from scratch daily, it guaranteed freshness in quality and no doubt value for money too.

Blu Kouzina has been a place that I've been wanting to try out for years. Situated in a plush residential area on Bukit Timah Road. It's white and blue colours gives a very comfortable and friendly vibe. I've always seen groups of friends sharing a hearty meal together spiced with Greek food.The first floor dining area is more of an open concept with a view of the kitchen and the main Bukit Timah road. The upstairs dining area is air conditioned and is more spacious, capable of seating dining groups of 10pax. The walls are painted blue and the chairs and tables are wooden painted in white. There's a lot of daylight that comes in through the main windows facing Bukit Timah Road.Looking at the menu, they have very interesting offerings, such as grilled seafood platters, with the *hint that the fresh fish are from greece. The prices were pretty reasonable too. Here at Blu Kouzina, they place high importance on their extra virgin olive oil as it is their family's signature recipe!For appetiziers, though I could barely pronounce the menu item names, the description were clear and it was pretty easy to make a decision. Check out the dessert menu on the right. Items like Baklava is always a must at a greek restaurant. Other items like Galaktoboureko and Bougatsa were new to me.

Every table gets complimentary bread and go crazy with the olive oil!!The bread itself was yeasty and had a nice salty flavour to it. The olive oil brought about a nice fruity flavour and aroma that leaves me mouth wanting for more!

1. Talagani Saganak $18.80++We decided to go out of our comfort zone and try something new. This is sheep milk cheese from Messinia topped with blu sauce. The portion may look seemingly small, but do not be fooled. The cheese is quite thick and dense. Two wedges of this and I was quite good!The edges of the cheese had a slight charring and was sometimes crispy, almost flaky. The cheese itself didn't smell too cheesey, which I was afraid of. Instead it had a mild sweet aroma and each bite was soft and chewy, almost like biting into a cheese stuffed bun. It was an interesting experience. Do give it a try!

2. Mousaka $27.80++ *Highly Recommended* 6 STARS!!! Can I give this item 6 stars? It's the best Mousaka I have ever tried hands down, and this is not my first time trying it! A mousaka consists of oven baked eggplant with potatoes, minced meat and bechamel sauce. It came in a piping hot bowl with a very flat and smooth surface, off the top of the potatoes. You could see the slightly burnt edges, which were my personal favourite as it was slightly crisp!Check out the eggplant~! They were generous with the ingredients. The eggplant were so soft and moist, it had all the flavour from the minced meat. The skin of the eggplant had a nice silky texture to it too. Eaten together with the extremely flavourful and almost cotton candy styled mash potatoes, I was in heaven! Or Greece! Or Greek Heaven?! The minced meat was very tender, and you could tell it was well seasoned, fresh and alot of effort was taken into preparing this dish. Not all mousakas I've tried had such soft and tender minced meat, most had clumped up meat, being that it is seated at the bottom of the bowl.

3. Kalamaki Souvlak $15.80++Beef kalamaki served with fresh onion, sliced tomato, in-house bread and lemon. After a very appetizing and excellent 6 star start of the lunch, this turned out to be just average and didn't quite WOW us like the other dishes. The beef had lots of juices, but the meat just tasted normal and I was contemplating not finishing this dish.I did like their in-house bread which was more like a toasted garlic bread that had a very biscuity texture. For the price, I think this is one of their cheapest main courses.

4. Xtapodi Sxaras $29.80++ *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*You know that Blu Kouzina works with the freshest of ingredients, some especially flown from Greece when you try this grilled octopus. It's like no other octopus I've tried. It is so tender, almost like a juicy chicken breast! This was a huge octopus piece, this blew our mind as we did not envision this! We starteed to slice up the octopus tail and stunningly, we realized how tender the meat was as you could literally cut it all up with a butter knife! The octopus had a very subtle flavour and aroma, but you could distinctly taste and smell the grilled goodness.5. Desserts (Complimentary)Galaktoboureko - Filo pastry filled with semolina cream filing and topped with homemade syrup
Apple with Cinnamon & Green Thyme Honey - The apple slices were crunchy and the cinnamon gave a very sweet fragrance to the apple. The honey was sticky and a bit too sweet for my liking, but after trying the Baklava, this honey was just perfect!Baklava - Filo pastry filled with walnuts and topped with Blu Kouzina's homemade syrup. I usually shy away from Baklava as it's too sweet for my liking, but this wasn't the case here. The flaky pastry was so flaky, I had difficulty trying to fork it! But the pastry melted in my mouth in an instant, before my mind started to realized there were chunks of walnuts embedded inside this sweet and delicious Baklava!Bougatsa - Filo pastry filled with semolina cream filing, served hot with powered and icing sugar and cinnamon. This pastry was indeed hot, you could feel it as I held up this plate in the palm of my hand. The cream filing oozed out and literally dissolved in my mouth! It was perfect, a great bread of sweetness and warmth

Overall : Blu Kouzina will take you through a short, enjoyable and memorable trip to Greece. The food will not disappoint you! Be bold and try something Greek!! Service was excellent as the staff were very attentive and food came out in a timely manner

Firstly I have to thank my pal for introducing me Soi Thai Kitchen and to treating us in her so called "Territory". We were there around dinner timing and the place was seemingly full house with incoming patrons in a straight queue in front of Soi Thai. Crowd is there, with mostly families. It was a stark difference as compared Soi Thai Kitchen crowd to her neighbouring Thai Food Shop, a total world of difference. Soi Thai Kitchen was bustling with people while the other was the opposite.Presentation was all good but as soon as we undressed the chickens from its pandan leaves and popped them into our mouths, the truth revealed. Marinate was not very much emphasized in the taste of the chicken over here, however, the taste resides more towards the charred flavours instead.I like their style of serving egg with Thai Raddish, scrambled yet fluffy and not too dry with consistence flavours. Despite of its simplicity, its still a noteworthy choice among my orders.Its hard to go plain on the bowls of white rice without a lip-smackingly good gravy like this! With minimum spicy level, the amount of coconut milk used here is decent and was not too cloyingIf you enjoy having a bowl of green curry, i bet you will like this!Don't judge the bowl of Tom Yum Soup by its color. You will never know the level of spice until you have tasted one. Labelled with 2 Chillis in its menu to indicate its spiciness, I find that the bowl of soup has absolutely grabbed the authenticity of how a true blue bowl of clear Tom Yum Soup should taste. It's piquant taste in its spices were stimulating and excites the stomach. Like most places, you can have your bowl of Tom Yum Soup to be served with either prawn or chicken.Although we were forewarned with 2 chillis on the menu as an indication to the level of spiciness, we had to surrender ourselves to this chilli hot salad and did not complete the dish. It was not only tongue but also lips burning. Do note that a few mouthfuls of it would have cause the mouth to be numb.

Perhaps they can give a better level of spicy indication to the dish as the level was indicated as the same to the Tom Yum Soup but in fact was hotter than it was intend to be. I guessed it was for some who can really take the challenge. No worries about it, I have been to Thailand and knew that this level of spice is totally chicken feat to the locals.Some of us had our carbo fixed by bowl of white rice while the feminine would prefer Pad Thai for the fix. Pad Thai was decent but I was kind of disappointed with its taste as I had expected a plate of more fragrant and not too dry noodles. However, one good point to note that the prawns used were at least better than those pre-processed ones which could have given us a jelly and translucent appearance.Washing down the dinner, we have selected the "should drink" from Thai Cuisine which are the Thai Milk Tea as well as the Lemongrass tea. I particularly like their Thai Milk Tea as I think that it brought out the authentic Thai Tea Flavours from the milk without being on a sweet side. While lemongrass tea was not bad either, just a bit sweet in my opinion.Hits and misses, overall, Soi Thai Kitchen is a good place to enjoy some Authentic Thai Cuisine in Singapore as you can skip paying GST & Service Charge while dining. If only I reside in the East, I will not mind visiting this place often.

[136 Hong Kong Street Fishhead Steamboat]
This popular fish head steamboat stall has moved from Hongkong street to Maxwell and again now to Toa Payoh hood. Well, it's definitely a good news for me because now it's only 3mins walk from my mummy's house.
The relocation of this stall didn't affect them abit. Business were still as good, they have the longest queue and most crowd compared to the 3 other stalls surrounding the Kim Keat Palm food centre and wet market.
The following were the dishes we tried:
(1) Sweet & Sour Pork 咕咾肉 $9.00- Pork cubes deep fried till crispy. Thereafter stir-fried with tangy sweet and sour sauce, accompanied by onion slices and capsicums. A common yet popular item you will see on the tables at cze char stall.
(2) Chinese Spinach with 3 types of Eggs 三蛋苋菜 $10.00- The greens not overly cooked, stems still have the crunch. But the broth was terrible, eggy taste wasn't present. Totally no difference from a "hor fun" gravy!!
(3) Signature Crispy Chicken with Special Sauce 招牌特制酱脆鸡 $9.00- This special sauce is sweet, tastes like sweet soya or marmite sauce. The chilli buddies didn't spark up any spiciness (white elephants) but did beautified the dish abit. Chicken stripes were very crispy and I can't stop munching them! A great snack choice if watching soccer.
(4) Claypot "Mee Tai Mak" (Rice noodles) 沙煲老鼠粉 $5.00- This pot of noodles may look ugly but the taste will proof you wrong! Cooked in savory broth with dark soya, mixed in the raw egg and it's heaven! Smooth texture in every mouthful, the added egg made the mee tai mak so 滑! Other ingredients include tender pork slices, fresh prawns, fishcake slices and greens. Not forgetting to mention my love for the "wok hei" aftertaste, it was so yum! A must try item here.
(5) Fried Egg with Preserved Radish 菜脯蛋 $7.00- This eggy dish was pan fried till slight crispy on the edges. An ordinary homecooked dish that my mummy prepares for me whenever I had porridge. The version here was abit bland and not much of preserved radish inside. Tastes least than ordinary so I would suggest you skip this.
(6) Claypot Assam Curry Fish Head 沙煲亞叁咖喱鱼头$26.00- The aroma from the curry spices can be smelt from far. The sizzling gravy in the claypot was calling my spoon! I then covered my whole plate of rice with the curry gravy, pipin' hot, so oomph!
The fishhead- Which part would you go for first? Eyes? Stomach? For me, it's definitely the fish cheeks. The flesh of the cheeks were the most delicate and tender. Thereafter I will go for the fish stomach. The fish was very fresh and meat really firm. The veggies that comes with it were too little in portions, wished there were more beancurd skins to soaked up all the gravy!

Verdict: Dining experience here at 136 Hong Kong Street Fish Head Steamboat was quite an enjoyable one except for the bad attitude/ services rendered by the staff. They were not attentive, slow responsive and talked to us rudely. The chefs should also step up on the cooking speed as waiting time was more than 45mins. But still, I will come again for their fish head steamboat as it was supposed to be their strengths.

Located in bukit merah central, at a HDB shophouse is Butterscotch. It is a halal cafe that offers typical hipster cafe food with some interested baked and sweet treats!I couldn't help eyeballing the sweet treats in the cake display. They had ondeh ondeh cupcakes too! They sell churros too! They seriously have a wide variety of desserts, more so than mains! But their dining area seats about 20 pax at most. Not a very big dining area, and the tables by the walls are quite cramped. They only have one large dining table which I dined at with a party of 5.1. Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict $16+Smoked salmon on brioche toast with poached eggs. Sadly the toast wasn't exactly toasted. The texture was soft and not crispy at all. It was more of a soggy toast before I had even popped opn the poached eggs. But they were generous with the smoked salmon, which was the highlight of the dish!

2. Chilli Crab Cake Burger $14+This was slightly too spicy for me as I usually don't take spicy foods. But the crab cake patty was nice and thick! The sauce itself was very flavourful and aromatic!Crab cake served with wedges and salad topped with signature chilli crab sauce. Not many places in Singapore serve crab cakes and they're not that easy to make, the trick is to use fresh crab meat. But living in Singapore, we have to be realistic here. Crabs aren't cheap, mostly imported and I can't expect a HDB downstairs cafe to be able to deliver perfect crab cakes. So I was content with this, but definitely an eye-opener seeing this served here. Wished more cafes had the same innovativeness! This is the best way to eat chilli crab without the mess!

3. Chicken Chop with Eggs $16+Grilled chicken chop thigh with mushroom sauce served with wedges and coleslaw. Top up $2 for 2 sunny side ups for that extra oomph.  This is quite a huge portion even for 1 pax. But then again the price reflects it's portion size. The menu recommended to pair this dish with the rather expensive $6.50+ root beer and so we did.Sadly though, the root beer tasted just like any canned root beer and it was a complete disappointment as it really didn't go that well with the grilled chicken chop.

Nonetheless, the chicken was tender and juicy, and the mushroom sauce was yummy!

4. Ramly meets Wendy Burger $14+A twist to the famous ramly burger - beef patty wrapped in an omelette served with shitake mushrooms, wedges and tomatoes. This was an alright burger, nothing to rave about. Get the chilli crab burger instead.

5. Ondeh Ondeh Waffles $12+ *highly recommended*Pandan waffles served with ice cream topped with coconut flakes and gula melaka sauce. Probably my no.1 waffles as a self declared waffle evangelist. GO TRY IT! It's worth the effort of travelling down to Bukit Merah! The waffles had a slight fragrance of Pandan but once, placed into your mouth. You brain deciphers that this is a taste of coconut heaven with gula melaka sauce. Okay the ice cream was vanilla, but with the gula melaka sauce, it kind of tricks your brain into thinking it's a gula melaka ice cream. The ice cream itself was smooth and creamy, with a consistent  texture. The ice cream survived my rather long phototaking session. It was a champ!

6. Butterscotch Souffle with Vanilla ice cream $14+Waiting time was 30-45mins. The souffle smelt great upon arrival at our table, but sadly once we dug in, we realized it was literally pure liquid inside. Maybe it wasn't baked long enough? I've only have Souffle experiences in Japanese-chain dessert/coffee places so unless those were the bad experiences. This was a first for me!It was literally an eggy drink. But the top layer stayed crispy enough to give you a slight bite!

7. Cheesy Wedges $9+Their cheesey wedges were great! Even for an appetizer, I had to control myself from finishing off this entire plate by myself! The cheesy viscosity of the sauce was PERFECT!For the location that they are in, I feel that their prices are abit high. But the service seemed alright. It was also partially self service, as you had to go and grab your water, and also walk up to the cashier to make payment.

The food here has some hits and misses. But the ondeh ondeh waffles is enough to bring me back again!

Located at Salute is Jack Ripper. They pride themselves with made from scratch burgers with juicy and calorie overdose burgers and milkshakes! They have a wide variety of burgers, with beef, fish, chicken and even pork for non-beef eaters!I love their presentation of the menu what gives you a breakdown of their innovative and delicious burgers. Burgers are no longer just a round slab of meat sandwiched between two buns. Here at Jack Ripper, they even create their own sauces such as maple syrup and dijon mustard to become maple mustard. Pretty ingenius in my opinion!

One thing to note about all the 3 burgers is that their brioche buns were amazing! All of them had aa stronger crisp and stayed crispy throughout my prolonged photo-taking session and they were also fluffy on the inside. The buns itself had flavour and taste.

1. SoCal Guacamole $18All natural beef, cheddar, creamy-rich guacomole, jalapeno, tomato, avocao and alfafa sprouts. The creamy guacamole is what made me like this burger! The beef patty was the same as the ripper's classic so check below!

2. Ripper's Classic $16All natural beef, Jack's sauce, Cheddar cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato and onion. The cheese here was oozing with all it's glory and it did not disappoint. The beef patty was juicy but didn't actually have a strong taste. I felt that it was a little too bland for my liking. The pork patty in the swine and roses faired much better. But at least, the beef patty was soft and tender, showcasing the quality of beef used as well as their effort in preparation!Paired with a milkshake, these burgers are hard to resist!

3. Swine & Roses $18 *MUST TRY!*Pork stuffed with safe and apple, cheddar cheese, maple mustard, lettuce and deep fried onions. I used to think that the only pork burger I would ever like are pulled pork burgers, if it has a patty, it should be a beef patty. But this burger changed me completely! The pork patty was so juicy and flavourful. It was oozing was pork juices everytime I tried to bite into it! The apple slices were amazingly sweet and yet crunchy. The thickness of the apples slices were perfect! The maple mustard sauce also gave this savoury burger a slight sweetness to it! I really really really enjoyed this burger!

4. Dark Chocolate Milkshake $8.50I love my sinful milkshakes and I love them even more when they're super thick and creamy that you can barely drink it up with a straw. I watched the staff scoop ice cream, scoop after scoop and toss them into a blender and TA-DA! You have your $8.50 milkshake. I must admit, the prices are high for their drinks but you would probably want to share a milkshake with a friend.

5. Matcha Milkshake *MUST TRY!*As a matcha lover, I was over the top when I heard that they had a matcha milkshake that wasn't listed on their menu. I guess they're expanding their milkshake offerings? The green tea flavour in here was evident but the sweetness of the ice cream was stronger! Making this a very sweet matcha milkshake which was PERFECT for my sweet tooth!~6. Cookies n cream milkshakeServed with cookie crumbs on the top is this cookies and cream milkshake. By the time this milkshake arrived. I was so full from all the food, my tummy was exploding but I couldn't give up this cookies and cream milkshake. The creamy texture was on point and there was a good balance of cookies to ice cream in this milkshake too!I am not a carb lover so I didn't really enjoy the fries, but they were very generous with it!Jack Ripper also carries imported beers!

Overall : Jack the Ripper has the right ideas for the ingredient combinations that redefines the enjoyment value of burgers. Just wished that they could do better on the basic All Beef patties.

The difference is in their sauces offered, a variety of Singaporean and Asian flavours that sets it apart from other eateries. The pun-ny name Wholly Crab refers to, in the actress's own words, "a whole crab, or wholeness, like full of love, full of everything", although I imagine some other meanings which shouldn't be repeated in polite company.

Ambience at Wholly Crab is laid-back casual. Both outlets are located in a shared hawker space, as such, much of the ambient lighting, decor, atmosphere, and furniture depends on the location you're at. There usually is ample free seating available, which is modern and decently comfortable, and the general atmosphere is usually bustling. Both outlets are brightly lit and clean, with clear menu displays, though they don't display their seafood openly for hygiene reasons. While you could order takeaway, I find it best to actually dine here on the spot, as their food is best consumed freshly cooked.Service at Wholly Crab is largely self-service, with ordering, payment, and collection of orders done over the counter. Slightly more service is provided at the 1st outlet at Satay By The Bay, as staff will serve orders to your table. Otherwise, the only engagement with staff occurs when placing your order, or if you interact with them at the stall. I find them knowledgable on the menu, able to describe dishes, as well as make recommendations on the various types of sauces available. I do wish however, that they would provide serviettes or disposable gloves, which is essential when using your hands to eat seafood coated in sauce!

Food at Wholly Crab is all about seafood, focusing on shellfish and crustaceans. Presentation is in the classic seafood boil style, a heap of seafood poured onto the table for communal dining. But taste is largely Asian inspired, with a variety of sauces to coat the seafood, very similar to Chinese style Zi Char in taste. I like that the seafood is fresh and clean-tasting, with portion sizes being medium to large for individuals. Prices at Wholly Crab are very affordable, much lower than prices elsewhere, yet the seafood is of good quality! Budget about SGD $20 per person for a meal, which I feel is reasonable and wallet-friendly.The Clams In Original Sauce (SGD $18 / 500g) has a generous portion of fresh, savoury sweet, shell-on clams, served along with soft roasted potatoes, caramelised onions, fragrant garlic cloves, and tender corn kernels. The original sauce, A.K.A. au-naturel, while slightly oily at the bottom of the bucket, allows the rustic, natural taste of each ingredient to shine through.The Mussels In Original Sauce (SGD $18 / 500g) has a generous portion of fresh, savoury sweet, shell-on mussels, medium in size but meaty! Served along with soft roasted potatoes, caramelised onions, fragrant garlic cloves, and tender corn kernels. Again, the original sauce, while slightly oily, allows the rustic, natural taste of each ingredient to shine through.The Crabs In Kung Pao Sauce (SGD $28 / 500g) has a good portion of crab, mostly the legs and pincers, and the crab meat is fresh, sweet, and tasty. The kung pao sauce is outstanding, savoury, tangy, and sweet, with a slightly spicy heat. Pairs really well with the crab, making it so yummy! Wallet-friendly for the quality too! However, I wish they provided shell cracking utensils, as it's very messy to constantly bite through the crab shell to crack it. The Boiler is up by Malcolm Hong, ex-banker turned restauranteur, this South American-inspired Cajun-styled seafood restaurant is concealed in Tai Seng's industrial area, near where cafes are constantly popping up nearby. The decor is rustic and minimalistic, with signal lights and simple furniture making up the interior; service is a little slow, especially during busy periods. And you would be surprised to learn that this restaurant is packed even on weekday evenings!I started with a Lychee Beerjito (SGD$10.90), an interesting concoction that uses beer in lieu of rum for this fruit-infused cocktail. I liked the refreshing flavour, as well as the luscious flavour of lychee amongst the minty taste.Fish & Chips (SGD$12.90); it was named under the "Starters" section but the portion was huge enough to be the mains itself. The battered fish fillets were crispy and the flesh was snowy and flakey. Taste was good enough without dipping of tartar sauce served on the side.Next, Prawns (SGD$16.25 for 200g) in Pepper Butter sauce. Prawns were fresh with firm, springy flesh and sweet in their natural taste, enhanced dramatically with the spicy pepper butter sauce. The sauce was so good, we drank it like broth .

Founded in November 2014 and operated under the umbrella of The Connoisseur Concerto (TCC) group, Kuvo Singapore is a multi-concept restaurant and bar located on the 2nd floor of Orchard Shopping Centre, which is directly beside 313@Somerset mall. Offering 4 different dining concepts in a 9,500 sq ft place, Kuvo Singapore, whose name is derived from the French word 'cuvee', which means 'to blend', serves a variety of modern fusion dishes in a plush yet casual setting.Ambience at Kuvo Singapore differs depending on which of the 4 concepts you're at. The Kuvo Singapore Gift Shop primarily caters for takeaway, but also doubles as a patisserie and dessert counter, with its brightly lit, attractive glass display case, and shelves of the sweet stuff. The Ambrosia I and II is a brightly lit, casual, 88-seat, all-day dining restaurant, with modern cushioned wooden furniture and plush couches, a comfortable, modern setting. The Elixir Bar is a bespoke cocktail and tapas area, with high bar tables and stools, set in a dark ambient atmosphere, with a live band on weekends. The Vine Lounge is a 32-seat wine lounge with rows upon rows of bottles, over 140 wine labels, and a wine dispenser! Overall, very good ambience no matter which of the 4 dining concepts you choose!Service at Kuvo Singapore is professional, efficient, and courteous. Befitting of bistro quality sevice, the staff speak quietly, and carry out requests quickly. They're rather knowledgable on the menu, able to make astute recommendations, and can even inform you about off-menu selections, of which Kuvo Singapore has a few! I also like that they offer to change plates between courses, something usually done only at fine dining restaurants. However, I do feel there isn't much memorable engagement from the junior staff, the level of service provided is good, but not outstanding. The more senior staff however, are very engaging, seemingly enthusiastic about their work, and can even describe the various dining concepts and history of the place!Food at Kuvo Singapore is modern fusion, a combination of Western presentation and ingredients with Asian flavours. The kitchen produces dishes of generally average quality in taste, though some are above average. Rather decent, consistent execution, which is good. The sharing portions are nicely sized for sharing between 2 - 4 people, though it's possible for an individual to finish it all by themselves. Menu options at Kuvo Singapore are extensive, and prices are pegged to bistro standards; higher than a cafe but lower than a restaurant. Budget about SGD $14 - $22 per tapas dish, and SGD $21 per cocktail. Generally, a small meal with 2 drinks here will set you back about SGD $80 per person, I personally feel it's rather expensive.

Head Bartender of Kuvo Singapore, Mr. Yutaka Nakashima, has over 16 years of experience in mixology, with several international accolades under his belt. On top of this, he's also a licensed chef in Japan! His bespoke cocktails suit the theme of modern fusion at Kuvo Singapore, intriguing and unique beverages that blend East and West, teasing and exciting the palate with each sip!Among the best dishes we had here, the Brandy Flambéed Beef Cube (SGD $22) features tender, savoury chunks of beef, flash seared and flambéed with brandy, glazed with an earthy red wine sauce, and served with sauteed, smoky garlic cloves and chili. Love how the little bit of heat tickles the palate, and each beef cube has a meaty, satisfiying chew. Excellent!The Kuvo Coffee Hot Wings (SGD $14) with baby carrot crudites and blue cheese dip was pretty good! The chicken wings have moist, tender meat which comes off easily, and the thick sauce glaze is savoury, with hints of roast
coffee, and a good kick of spicy heat! Cool off with the Cocktail Brewski Yen (SGD $21) pairing, or the tender baby carrots and blue cheese dip, which is surprisingly mellow and pleasant, lacking the characteristic sharp pungent taste of typical blue cheese.The Cocktail P & L (SGD $21), named for the corporate business financial term of 'profit and loss', is made with Bankes London dry gin, house made apple and cinnamon syrup, peanut butter, coconut cream, and laksa leaves. Unique and creative, this rich, creamy beverage is earthy, sweet, and nutty, with hints of spice notes. Highly recommended!

Montana Brew Bar known for it's Southern Chicken Waffle, Red Velvet waffles and Green Tea Waffles has now moved to the second floor, with a completely revamped menu and concept.Montana Singapore serves pasta, savoury and sweet waffles as well as coffee and beer.

South Bronx located on the ground floor, serves up American comfort classic style burgers.

Right above South Bronx is Fabulous Dough which serves up sweet donuts. Upon closer inspection of their menu, you will notice interesting items never seen before at other eateries, such as Jalapeno Mac & Cheese Waffle, Assam Crab Waffle, Bulgogi Beef Waffle and more! The menu has enough reasons to explain that Montana seeks to seriously stand out!

It's a 3 in 1 F&B outlet that serves sweet and savoury and 15 over beers. A truly ingenius idea to capture a wide array of taste buds.Here's the cafe facing the escalators. Once you walk in, on your left you will see Fabulous Dough and down the stairs, you will arrive at South Bronx.

1. Jalapeno Mac & Cheese Waffle $12One of their first savoury waffles that attracted me to Montana about 10 months ago. This is a waffle-ised jalapeno Mac and Cheese topped with white truffle oil that gives it that sharp truffle aroma. Together with the tomato relish and jalapeno cheese dip, this has brought this dish to the next level. I believe their recipe has differed from the last time I tried it as I was able to taste the mac and cheese more distinctly this time. It is no longer dry but rather you can also taste the cheese mixture inside the waffle. The sauce gave it a slight more sourish and salty oomph needed to bring out the flavour in the macaroni and cheese waffle.

2. Assam Crab Waffle $18 *Highly Recommended*Probably my no.1 favourite waffle at Montana. Inspired by Kedah Laksa, this Assam spiced waffle is served with seasoned crab meat and pineapple cucumber laksa. The waffle itself isn't spicy at all, which one would've expected considering, this dish is inspired by Kedah Laksa. Nevertheless, this dish was still able to capture the essence of the laksa aroma and taste. The crab meat tasted freshly and were generously served!

3. Bulgogi Beef Waffle $16This was a very interesting waffle, with a mix of Gochujang rice waffle with Sous Vide Bulgogi beef which was very tasty. Served with an orange sesame coleslaw, sous vide poached egg and spring onions. The poached egg was perfectly poached to place this dish as an "instagrammable" waffle. The waffle itself was slightly chewy due to the rice mixed into the batter.

4. Truffle Egg Fettuccine $16Served with a sunny side up, the truffle taste was subtle, but the mushrooms gave it the right flavour. Not the most spectacular dish on their menu, but if you are a mushroom lover and craving for pasta, this can satisfy your needs!
5. Vodka Crab Penne $16Another interesting dish on the menu was their Vodka Crab Penne. I love penne as it's one of the easiest pasta to eat, just spoon or fork each penne. No need for messy twirling of spaghetti noodles. They used sufficient cheese in the sauce to give each penne a strong cheese aroma.I couldn't really taste any vodka or cheese, but this dish was to my liking.
6. Black Velvet Waffle $14One waffle dish that has been flooding instagram is this black velvet waffle. It is a chocolate coated vanille ice cream scoop. Served on top of a black sesame waffle. You have a choice of big crunch (crispy) or fluffy. I choose the big crunchy as I like crispy waffles. But sadly, even though the ice cream didn't drench through the waffle, I still felt that the waffle could be crispier. The Jalapeno mac and cheese waffle was definitely crispier than this waffle.Black Velvet WaffleTA-DA! Check out the vanilla ice cream beneath the chocolate coat. It's almost like a "Kinder Surprise" vanilla ice cream!

7. MochaPumped up with a double shot, this mocha definitely kept me going though the night! You can easily taste the chocolate fused with the coffee in this drink.

8. Yuzu Infused Coconut Cold Brew $7.80A very interesting creation, is their yuzu infused coconut cold brew. The yuzu provided a very sour taste but together with the cold brew, you get a bitter aftertaste. Definitely a drink to give you a slight kick in the mid-day hot afternoon. I actually enjoyed this cold brew, despite not really being able to taste the coconut.
Montan also has a wide array of imported draft beers. So you can bring the boys out for a chill out session, along with sweet and savoury waffles for the ladies.

10. Gula Melaka Cold Brew $6.80 *Highly recommended*Probably the greatest reason for me to return other tha ingenius waffle creations is this gula melaka cold brew. I love coffee but I like it even more with a familiar gula melaka taste! The coffee is bitter but gives you the energy kick you need. Along with a round spherical ice cube which I had fun twirling it around in the drink!It was a very refreshing drink as it was chilled to the right temperature and I slowly sipped it up and was contented with ordering it!

11. Organic Lemon Lime & Bitters $6.50Another chilled and refreshing drink that had a zesty lemon lime taste to it. Imported from New Zealand, this was my first time trying it and it is indeed bitter. Which was very surprising to me!

12. Red Velvet Waffles $12.50 *Highly recommended*For all crispy waffle lovers out there, try this! A new rendition of Montana's signature red velvet waffle stack. The waffles are crispy and has a strong bandung aroma. Along with their new strawberry short cake ice cream which has biscuit crumbs embedded into the ice cream.The ice cream itself wasn't too sweet and they were very generous with the ice cream scoops! The ice cream went well with the crispy red velvet waffles and I couldn't imagine a better waffle experience then this. This is a MUST TRY!

13. Seafood Paella Waffle $18Another interesting creation is their seafood paella waffles. Topped with corn, prawns and chorizo sausage.  The waffle is made with paella rice and served witha  spicy sherry cream sauce! The waffle itself unlike the bulgogi rice waffle is crispier. The sauce provided was creamy like a sweet mayo kind of sauce. The corn was over flowing and there wasn't much prawns or chorizo sausage. I felt that they definitely have the idea going on, but something else needs to be done. I really couldn't taste the paella rice in the waffle.

15. Pesto Chicken Penne $14 *Highly Recommended*My favourite penne dish from Montana. They was so much shredded chicken in the pasta. It was very flavourul with the pesto sauce that wasn't too thick or diluted. It was perfect! The penne texture was on point too!The portion was decently sized, definitely too big for myself, but great for a hungry person. I didn't feel gerlat at all, eating this huge bowl of penne. Unlike the Vodka crab penne which I had trouble tasting the vodka or crab. This pesto chicken penne guarantees you the flavour of pesto and chicken in every mouthful!

After 3 visits to Montana and trying 15 items, here's my verdict :

Montana has done a great job bringing so many different elements together, food, drinks, ambience and they are very open to feedback, which is probably the reason to their major shifts from their humble beginings.

Alright, we have just past by the Christmas and New Year festive period. Which means, we are more likely to have stuffed ourself silly and need a bit of respite before the Chinese New Year knocking in front of us. So if you feel like something healthy, low in calories or detoxing, you can consider DoSiRak. DoSiRak means lunch box in Korean. Set up by half-Korean, half-Singaporean brothers Edward and Eugene Chia in October 2014, DoSiRak re-introduces the healthier and modern version of age-old method of enjoying a traditional Korean lunch bowl usually comprising rice, a type of meat and a medley of vegetables before mixing in gochujang (Korean chilli sauce). If you are watching your weight, there is even a calories count on each mix and all the DoSiRak menu is less than 500 calories. DoSiRak also recognised by Health Promotion Board Singapore as Healthier Dining Partner. In DoSiRak, the lunch box is served in a look-a-like large size pint of ice cream container. The design of the container inspired from tiles normally used in Korea. The container are then filled up to 75% full to allow enough space to shake the ingredients. How about it, you get to play with your food and eat healthy at the same time. The ingredients in DoSiRak are prepared in the minimalist way. Vegetables are served raw or lightly blanched with minimum seasoning. Meat are cooked sous-vide to lock in the flavour. Best part, No MSG are used here, period. We started our tasting with Avocado sweet potato mix ($9.90). Ingredients include spinach, red cabbage, beansprouts, shittake, white radish. A normal menu will come with rice, however if want to skip the carbo, you can choose cauliflower rice ($3) as your base. At first, we tasted it without adding the gochujang. The ingredients tasted very natural. You can taste the sweetness of the sweet potato, a hint of bitterness from the spinach and red cabbage, together with the creaminess of avocado. The cauliflower rice has a similar texture to couscous, however it is lighter and fluffier compare to couscous.
We finally decided to #ShakeItUp. So you pour gochujang in to the mix. The gochujang works well to bind all the ingredients together. It is thick, sweet and spicy with a hint of vinegar at the same time, which works wonderfully to arouse your appetite. Next up is the Pumpkin Tofu ($8.90). A white rice base combined with enoki mushrooms, spinach, white radish, black beans and purple cabbage. The vegetables are lightly seasoned and allows the ingredients to speak for itself. I like the pumpkin, tofu and black bean in this dish. The finale was Smoked Duck with Cold Noodle as a base. Yup, now we finally tried some meat protein. The vegetables was corn, carrot, cabbage and mushrooms. As the thin and springy noodle already seasoned, you can actually skip the gochujang in this dish. Overall, DoSiRak really provide a good healthy meal with no fuss. As a foodie, we do need some holistic food once in a while. By the way, in the month of January to March 2016, DoSiRak is collaborating with The Food Bank Singapore launching a campaign at their China Square Outlet and EU Bizhub East outlets. It is to help raise funds for equipment that will help feed the underprivileged in Singapore. For every meal sold, DoSiRak will pledge $1 to directly fund this Fresh Food Truck. If customers would like to make additional donation to the fund, they may do so with any amount over DoSiRak Counters, and DoSiRak will reward large donors with a complimentary NuHoney beverage.

A passion for Japanese cuisine and quality grilled meat led Chef Jeremy Han to open The Burning Oak in March 2015, as part of the revamped Simpang Bedok Market Place. Specialising in premium Japanese style kushiyaki (known to some as yakitori), or grilled skewers, The Burning Oak uses Binchotan / Japanese charcoal to grill all their skewers. This use of this high quality charcoal made from Japanese oak wood, results in skewers with an even caramelized browning on the outside, while the inside remains moist and succulent.Ambience at The Burning Oak is similar to the rest of the stalls here, on account of the shared casual seating, and clean, bright atmosphere. The stall itself is decked in an understated black, with clean, straight lines. The open kitchen allows one to watch Chef Jeremy Han working the sous vide machine, or grilling skewers over the charcoal grill while flames leap from time to time. You can also sit at the high bar stools which are available in front of the stall.

Service at The Burning Oak is completely self-service, with ordering, payment, and collection of orders done over the counter. A buzzer is provided to alert you when your order is ready. Waiting time for order fulfillment is pretty short, about 10 minutes or so, considering that everything is grilled to order!

Food at The Burning Oak is Japanese style grilled items, mostly meat (chicken, beef, pork), along with several vegetables items. I find quality and taste of items to generally be excellent, each individual skewer is grilled to order, and contains good flavour on its own. You can taste the smoky flavour imparted by the flames, yet without any burnt parts! Portions are sized for individuals, and prices are affordable, budget about SGD $10 per person for a meal here.Beginning today (5th January 2016), Chef Jeremy Han is expanding his menu! Over the next few weeks, he'll be introducing new items into his menu, gradually changing The Burning Oak from a pure kushiyaki stall, to a sharing platter concept stall. He's still retaining all the items on his old menu though, which is good news!

Of the vegetable items, the Cherry Tomato Skewer features juicy cherry tomatoes, which burst with sweet, fruity flavour in the mouth. It has a hint of smoky aroma, and pairs well with the savoury meat items. The Quail Eggs Skewer is decent, with a slight sweetness from the teriyaki sauce glaze, and a eggy, earthy taste, but is ultimately the most unremarkable skewer offered here.

Of the meat items, the Chicken Thigh (Negima) Skewer features savoury, tender, moist chunks of chicken thigh, alongside crunchy leeks. The Pork Shoulder Skewer has a thick yet moist cut of pork shoulder, savoury and sweet, with a good amount of fat, and a beautiful smoky caramelisation. With the Beef Short Rib Skewer, you get a thick yet tender and moist beef short rib, marinated / sous vide for 72 hours along with red wine, until the meat tastes sweet, savoury, and earthy, with a slight hint of tannin!

The Chicken Meatball (Tsukune) Skewer has tightly packed, chicken meatballs that are juicy within, with an intense savoury salty flavour that is rather pleasing. Overall, the skewers were all well executed, incredibly tasty, and very satisfiying. Total price for all these skewers is SGD $15.20. Highly recommended! Joyden treasures- The 3rd eatery of Joyden Concepts after Joyden Seafood and Joyden Canton. This new concept mainly presents dishes from the past with homemade secret recipes, to rendition heritage taste/ local recipes that many of us may have forgotten. Compared to the other 2 restaurants, Joyden treasures currently holds the biggest space with 6 VIP rooms and more than 200 seats available.Service staff were attentive and courteous, we were brought to our seats quickly without hestitation. We started off with ordering of drinks and trying out their homemade side dishes.
(1) Iced Apple Hawthorn Tea- A sourish yet refreshing iced drink to start with. I'm a sour plum drink lover but this was way better! I'm in love with this drink from now. Thank you Cheryl for recommending. 
For mains, we had this pipin' hot and flavourful soup to start:
(2) Double-boiled Seafood Soup in Old Cucumber $14/individual portion- Melons were specially selected of almost the same size to create this dish. The aroma was so fragrant when served. One sip down my throat and ahhhhhhh, so sweet and comforting. The soup was double-boiled with natural ingredients and seafood such as fish maw, dried scallops, abalone, mushroom, to achieve this kind of rich flavourful soup. Be surprised with a mini pork dumplings right at the bottom of your soup. 
(3) Phoenix Beancurd Skin Prawn Roll
($16s, $22m, $30b)- Fillings inside were made up of fresh prawns, century egg and salted egg. Hand chopped till minced, wrapped with the beancurd skin then deep fried till crispy. Love the exterior crunchiness of the bean curd skin but would prefer the prawns inside comes in a whole instead of minced. A whole prawn would definitely give a firmer bite and least mushy. 
(4) Steamed Red Grouper in Homemade Soy Bean Broth
(Market rate. $108 per kilo currently)- This red grouper was fresh and meat really firm. Natural sweetness of the fish alone was never enough to satisfy my tastebuds whereas I hope to get more out of it. Joyden's method was to cook the fish with soya bean broth freshly made in house, a family recipe, to give this plain fish soya bean fragrance and additional sweetness. Although great efforts were put in but it didn't impressed me, probably because I wasn't a soya bean fan afterall. Fried enoki sprinkled on top wasn't necessary though as they didn't blend in with this fish dish. It would be great as snacks individually.
(5) Crispy Fragrant Duck with Lotus-shaped Buns
($58 per whole duck)- Duck was well marinated with chinese spices, slow cooked to boil, then quick fried for the skin to become crispy. The waitress skills to scrap up the duck meat was really good and swift. I took the breast part and it was dry chewing it on its own. Not forgetting the bite-sized homemade buns made fresh daily, they were soft and fluffy too. Wrapped it with the duck meat, cucumber and pickled papaya, add the orangey tangy sweet chilli, it's more yummy.Another alternative way to enjoy the duck was to wrap the duck meat with Joyden's homemade achar. Delicious till max! 
(6) Jumbo Prawns in Traditional Dark Sauce
($26s, $36m, $52b)- Best thing about this dish, wasn't the prawns but the sesame infused gravy. Sweet, savoury fragrant soya sauce gravy that goes really well with a bowl of plain rice. Jumbo prawns tends to be over-cooked causing meat to be hard and tough but these were cooked perfectly. Prawn meat were succulent and crunchy. One piece for each of us was never enough. 
(7) Traditional Salt Baked Crab
(Market rate. $63 per kilo currently)- Various types of salt and spices were wok fried first before applying onto the crab. The seasoned crab was then baked in low temperature till cooked and served as it is in a whole. With all the shell intact, crab meat was firm and not mushy, natural sweetness of the flesh were all locked in. Although the baking process caused some drying out of the flesh but this dish was still savoury. Rating 3.5/5

($4.20 per portion)
- These chinese brownies were so soft and pillowy. Look at the air pockets they contained and you can imagine how fluffy they were. Packed with gula melaka fragrance, these squares were so yum and not overly sweet too. A highly recommended item to order if you're here at Joyden. Rating 5/5
(9) Traditional Yam Purée
($6 individual portion, $16s, $26m, $36b)
- Yam paste; an all time favourite chinese dessert which my family would definitely order if item was available on the menu. Joyden's version was with steamed pumpkin, ginko nuts, lard, chestnut bits and sugar glazed on top of the yam purée. The yam purée texture was smooth and creamy with the additional crunch from the chestnuts bits. Not sweet enough in my opinion and lacked aroma. I prefer my yam purée with only yam paste and fresh coconut milk. Simplicity was the best! Rating 3/5
Verdict: A restaurant with great ambience for family dinner and gathering. Service were very good too. Food quality were fairly good and portions definitely enough to go round. Dim sum menu was small but looks interesting, I will find time to come again to try them out.

Yeap, almost all their dishes have bacon incorporated, from the usual pasta, breakfast plate to more unconventional ones like bacon ice cream (say what?) and desserts.The interior is playfully decorated with bacon figures and cartoons, plus the mismatched furniture brings out the lively and quirky style in this cafe.Bacon Bomb ($28): This consists of pork, beef, bacon and cheese all rolled into one, and served with mashed potatoes and a few leaves below. It's one giant roll so it's good for two persons to share. However, it was a little hard to share because once we sliced it open, everything seemed to fall apart! Taste wise I felt like there was a lot going on. There was the bacon, beef etc, and they didn't go that well together. Or maybe it's cos I'm not really a meat person so I can't appreciate the flavours all at once...? Otherwise it's a perfect dish for carnivores out there!The Cure ($21): It's more like the usual Big Breakfast plates that most cafes offer, but this one here has a bit more ingredients: sausage, bacon, potatoes, mushrooms, eggs (scrambled or sunnyside) and waffles or pancakes. It also comes with a small cup of maple syrup and butter. I love the waffles as it was crispy and not doughy. All the other ingredients were alright, nothing spectacular. Nothing stood out much for me here.Beef and Bacon Cheeseburger ($17): This was a beef patty with bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles served in toasted sesame buns, with a side of paprika fries. My dining partner said it tasted ordinary, only slightly better than the run-of-the-mill fastfood burgers.Bacon Love, Truly ($15): This is essentially a BLT. You can choose between classic, candied or spicy bacon, and it is served in pita bread smothered with bacon jam. We went with candied bacon for this sandwich and it was sweet just right. I was hoping they could spice up this sandwich a bit more, because otherwise it's like a Subway sandwich?Waffles with Bacon Ice Cream ($14): As mentioned earlier the waffles were of a good texture, light and crispy and not doughy. The bacon ice cream tasted a bit salty (must be from the bacon haha) but it was injected with bacon bits here and there, which tasted like bak kwa! Haha but this is indeed a unique flavour.Jekyll and Hyde (6 for $12): These are bacon strips dipped in white and dark chocolate. It really was a good combination of sweet and salty! I preferred the dark chocolate as it was slightly less sweet. A good dessert to end the meal!

Overall I think OMB is creative with its bacon-inspired food. It doesn't have GST or service charge too. But it has to work harder to improve the taste and quality of the food, otherwise it'll just be quite ordinary.
