I have been going to IPPOH for a very long time. This is my first time dining at the one in Singapore. Although i am a big fan of IPPOH, i was a bit disappointed in the branch in Singapore. The environment is not as traditional as Japan and their tempura making skills can not be compared to Japan especially in Osaka, their main branch. 
Perhaps its because of franchaise or JV, hence quality control and direct influence is limited as compared to it being your own branch. I truly enjoyed every moment dining in their Japan branches and even in Hong Kong. But truly disappointed in the one in Singapore. 
Honestly, it's ok, not a bad restaurant, but i guess comparatively, it is at a disadvantage. For the amount paid, i prefer visiting their japan branch when i have the time. Ingredients in Japan are also more fresh and seasonal.

dinner was great. food and ingredients is very fresh and tasty. service is good. the sushi are unique and sashimi is very fresh. value for money and definitely will go again. Had a very special dish that I didn't have for a long time and it brought back good memories. a must try restaurant

We walked by as we were suppose to go to the cafe next door. The menu caught my eye and we decided to give it a try. I am so glad that we did that. the food is excellent, must try and their gelato is also very good. a cafe that is cozy with exceptional food. I place that I will frequent and also recommend. well done. love this place

I’ve always wanted to try out this Japanese restaurant and today I’ve decided to give it a shot . The staffs were rude and impolite . Food was bad and taste like fast food . Sashimi wasn’t fresh . I didn’t finish the food and left . Wasabi was bad quality too . I will not come back again .

great restaurant, food here is great with high quality. small dishes and very enjoyable. food is tasty, seasoned well and good sized portion, allowing us to order more. mid range restaurant not too expensive and quite value for money. would definitely be back again and will recommend others.

great food concept. the specials are interesting and tasty. dungeness crab cold is a must try. have already been back and consistency is there. definitely will go back again n recommend. very good food and very tasty. the service is good too however the menu is not that comprehensive but the food is all very good and well thought of.

Tender beef cheeks and delicious pumpkin risotto. Love the butternut and burrata cheese on the risotto😍

the goreng pisang is an absolutely yummy munchie ;p extremely value for money (about $1+ only!!) for one hot & satisfying afternoon snack the boss fries the fritters fresh, which increases the shiok factor as you crunch on the crisps mmm yum yum, im so glad i found this. will be recommending it to my vegetarian friends

It was a great experience and the food is very nice. Had a quiet dinner tonight and was very impressed and surprised about this restaurant. I had a 4 course dinner, all the dishes were great. I really liked the appetizer and the signature uni pasta with squid ink. I am not a fan of uni but this was so good, i finished the dish. Definately, worth a try either for lunch or dinner. I will definately come again and recommend people. \ Chef Takada is very talented and his food is great. I look forward to their monthly new set menus. 

The location was good, inside Dempsey. The decor is very nice, when u go in it shares a common area with other restaurants. Food is nothing to write home about. it's average in terms taste and creativity. I would not consider it authentic nonya or peranakan cuisine. More of a glamorous version of it. Definately not worth the star or hype. But don't get me wrong food is not bad, but not as good as others expect.

wanted to have burgers, heard that this place does good burgers. indeed, burgers were good....definitely must try.

food is excellent and very tasty. portions not too big so suggest the four course menu. highly recommend.

four cheese pizza was very very good. will be back again. look forward to having more from their menu. view is good too, looking at Singapore river

Even with fork and knife it was tiring. The meat struck to the shell.

Have been patronizing this stall for almost 15 years. Taste have not change a single bit, Soup have a rich traditional flavor, with a huge portion of prawn and fishcake to compliment the noodles. Comes in both soup and dry, personally prfer the soup base as it brings out the prawn flavour in the noodle.  Hawkers were super friendly. All this for the price of just $2.5 !?  Simply cant find anything similar for the price. Its valued for price #traditional #value #ghimmoh #prawnmee
