From 17 May to 13 August 2017, the cafe was reopened as a Cinnamoroll character pop up cafe. The place was decorated with the cartoon characters all over the place, with a soft toy at each table. The restaurant was opened by Sebastian Ng who was the former Chef-Partner of the highly acclaimed Restaurant Ember from 2002-2014. Being weekend the place was rather crowded. Lucky I had the foresight to make a reservation before coming. The place was dark and empty for a weekday lunch time. One had to press the bell for service. There was a note stating that the staffs were busy in kitchen. Went for a light break and saw this cafe with many Hong Kong style bread and milk tea. Ordered popular pineapple bun and red bean toast with Honolulu signature cold coffee. The toast is slightly oily at first sight possibly from butter toppling. The red bean is in between but taste so so. The pineapple bun on the hand is great and good nice. Overall average standard and better care elsewhere.

Food here is at most average but the long waiting time is why they lost one star with me. The restaurant was very old school, offering western dishes. The restaurant was changed hand and went through upgrading. It reopened with a refresh in the classical look.
