Popiah is pretty much your spring roll, with a soft and thin crepe like 'skin' to wrap around the fillings, which typically consists of bean sprouts, grated peanuts and carrots, lettuce, chinese sausage, sliced tofu, fried shallots, shredded omelette and the all important turnip with a dash of shrimp paste/hoi sin sauce spread across the 'skin'.Eaten mainly as a snack as an accompaniment to other main dishes, the popiah served was definitely value for money at $1/roll, min order 2 rolls. It really falls under the category of 'share-share' food.(+) fresh ingredients and generous serving.(+) relatively crisp skin which gives an added crunch with each bite due to the finely roasted grated peanuts.(+) popiah is well kneaded and packed so the fillings do not drop all over the table when eating.(+) the fillings do not damp the 'skin', leaving one with messy hands.(+) very affordable, considering the stall's central location.(-) min order of 2pcs.Verdict: 7.5/10

We ordered a plate of rojak after our meal to share today. as niether of us like the usual ingredients of rojak ie. cucumber, mau guang, banana flower and wats ever else that goes into rojak, we specified to the uncle we only wanted you tiao and tau pok only. So he gave us 5 pieces of you tiao instead. He also gave us the look when we said we did not want the flower. i guess most people enjoy it. hahaha. So with just the you tiao and tau pok, it tasted great. the you tiao was crispy and nice, and not soggy. The sauce was thick and consistent and full of peanuts. great snack after meal. cost $3 bucks.
