This is one of the outlet having 50% off promo by Sakae, most of staff are regular that makes service satisfactorily predictable. Menu changes regularly even though withj 50% off most are reasonably good. only the bench may need to be freshened up. continue reading

I used to patronise this chain of restaurants for sushi fix. I liked their variety of sushi serving on the conveyor bell and most importantly prices were affordable. Then I stopped going for a long time due to some reason. After knocking off and feeling famish, I wanted to have something light and filling. Sashimi is a good choice. I walked by Icon and found that they have an outlet there. It wasn’t too many dinners at around 6+pm, I thought it would get more people while reaching the dinner time, it wasn’t though, instead it was getting less and less. Anyway, it won’t bother me, as long as food is served fresh and good, I am happy.I have a bowl of sashimi rice. Frankly, it is a bowl of ordinary Japanese sashimi rice, nothing to “wow” to but I have to say sashimi are fresh and rice texture is just right. Having said that it may not fill up a big stomach, it was just right to me. continue reading

Passed by the restaurant while going for spa treatment with friends so decided to pop in. Place is elegant and the food presentation is good. We ordered Salmon don, which costs about $7.99, curry beef udon, a pink plate sushi and a kid's meal which is a train set with fries, sausage, teriyaki chicken and some meat balls,We arrived at about 745pm but business is quite good as the place is packed with people. The colored plates there costs $1.99 and pink plate is $3.99. Food is quite fresh as the salmon don is raw salmon but does not have any fishy smell and the salmon is firm and fresh. As for the curry don, the beef is well cooked and not tough or raw. Kid's meal is well presentated and even have broccoli to encourage kids to eat more vegetables. We spend $47 for 3 persons. continue reading

Went to Sakae Sushi to have the last round of Lohei and because it’s a lunch time. We queued up outside the restaurant like 15mins to get seats. The manager is unfriendly and with the annoying face. He used to scream to his staff from the cashier. It’s really annoying for us when we are chatting and eating happily there. The Lohei is good. Salmon is fresh, vegetables are fresh too, and the sauce is right to the point. The waitress helped us to add the crackers, sauces and everything into the colorful vegetables. The sushi there is standard. No surprised. continue reading
