So what's the fuss? Let's take a look at it.Though the bigger portion was just a $0.50 difference, I find that the portion was rather generous not only for the noodles but also the slices of char siew. The noodles were slightly thicker than the usual Mee Kia I had and was springy. The sauce they use was slightly different from the usual ones we have and indeed, it has a familiar old school taste. Besides that, the Char Siew was home made too.While the Wanton comes in 3 in the soup bowl.The other item on their menu will be their shrimp dumpling noodle instead.Shrimp Dumplings are plump and juicy for instance, however nothing extraordinary about the fillings and taste.Have no idea what to eat in Pek Kio Market & Food Center? Perhaps following the length of the queue from the stall may be a good guide to make a choice of your meal.

Had a bowl of wanton mee with char siew for $3 only. The noodles have a springy texture and the sauce has some sambal flavour which is to my liking. The soup surprisingly tastes different from the traditional wanton mee soup. This is one of the better wanton mee I have tasted.

Yes, the time of visit was last October. No, I didn't make a mistake. Why did I take so long to write this review? Because the stall was not listed yet then. It was by chance that I saw it today, thus take the opportunity to write something about it. This stall has been in the food centre for quite a long time. It was very popular among the resisdents as well as those who work around here. The queue was always long during lunch time. Sometimes they could be sold out as early as 12plus. Their rest day is Wednesday. So if you don't want to be disappointed, avoid this day. If for some reasons, you happened to be there on Wednesday, don't worry. There were many other very good stalls there as well. Please refer to my reviews for recommendation.Look at the picture, could you see how lean the Char Siew are? The noodle was not clustered together,very Q. The filling in wanton has no smell of pork, I believe it contained the flat crispy fish (鳊鱼）. The picture alone has already make me yearn for it. Such a long time since I last ate it, I must patronise it soon.
