Has a wide variety of local dishes. Must try the curry fish head. Tried also salted egg chicken, Mongolian beancurd, Luo Han vege as well and they were all decent. Good for large groups. Has aircon so that jades the dining experience even more pleasant. Speedy service. continue reading

If you have been to West Co'z Cafe, then A-Poh Kitchen's dishes should not be very different from the menu as they are all under the same group, p2e (places to eat). These establishments offers simple, yet distinctive Singapore's fare by award winning chef, Chef Cheong.Dining in a group of 5, we had ordered their set menu for 5 pax including bowls of rice at $88 nett. Drinks will be charged separately.Sweet & Sour Soup was quick to serve after our order. This combination was good for a start and kind of "open up the stomach" to more food - a very welcoming dish indeed.Mongolia Chicken was a surprise to me. Having tasted such dish before, when compared, I would said the style is pretty different, so as the taste. Just like the sweet sour pork, the chicken were deep fried before mixing with its respective sauce. Some of the meat were tough but they were still not too bad as an overall.Kang Kong Stirred Fried with garlic was not too bad either. Vegetables remain crunchy and without having garlic overpowering its taste.Cereals covered most of the dish and was fragrant. However the style was not to my preference. I prefer fresh prawns with shells. The prawns were translucent and could not taste the freshness as well as sweetness in them. I would prefer to handle prawns in their shells than having frozen prawns.Assam was appetizing but was served as the last dish. Fish was fresh and came in mixed vegetables like lady fingers, long beans, chilli, onions and others. With Assam gravy pairing with bowls of white rice, the sauce was good alone without the dish. A-Poh is great place for Cze Char if you want to find an air-conditioned place, moreover the place is Halal Certified. Therefore you have Muslim Pals in a group, this will be an excellent choice for Cze Char. Service and GST charge are not required too. continue reading

Ordered the 8 pax thai set lunch. There is also a normal chinese set but we decided to try the thai set. We had thai mango salad, which was super spicy but the portion was huge. We then had cereal prawns which tastes great. The cereals were sweet and addictive, but the prawns were small. Next there was thai style fried rice, which tastes very much like normal fried rice. There is aldo steamed fish. The fish was fresh and had lots of meat. In addition, there were fried squid and thai style chicken. The squids were crispy and tasty. The place had aircon, which was great for a warm day. Ordered lychee drink which was cooling for a warm afternoon. Not bad in overall for lunch set! continue reading

My hubby highly recommended this place to me, as he had tried it with his colleagues for lunch before and everyone loved the food. Since we were in the vicinity, he brought me here. We were lucky to get a seat straight away, for right after us, the restaurant was filled up very quickly.- Assam fish head, $16The assam fish head is the best I've eaten so far. The assam curry was very appetising and tasty, so we ended up ordering some fried buns to mop up the remaining curry after we finished our rice. The fish head was also very fresh and a large portion was given. There was also plenty of vegetables too.- Sambal kang kong, $6The sambal kang kong does not look impressive, but it tasted really good too!- Fried buns, $2We enjoyed our zi char meal here and will love to be back for more next time. continue reading
