We had pork shabu tom yum ramen($14.90) & kumamoto ramen ($14.90) set with side dishes (choose one out of 12 items) cuttlefish & fish cake & 2 glasses of cold green tea. We ordered extra osaka ohsho cripsy gyoza. The gyoza fillings were very flavourful wrapped in a thin layer of skin. Best to dip the gyoza in vinegar before eating =) My hubby love the Cuttlefish very much as they were deep fried till very crispy! I love the fish cake as it resembles thai fish cake & are very yummy & chewy. Thumbs up for the side dishes!I love my pork shabu tom yum ramen. The pork shabu is sliced thinly, paired really well when eaten with the noodles & bean sprouts. I really don't mind eating this everyday The kumamoto ramen is very yummy too. Thick flavourful pork broth, meat is very tender also. Probably too much MSG is added to the soup, we felt quite thirsty after the meal. Overall, the food is decent & we will surely go back to try other dishes again continue reading

Decided on Ajisen Ramen, it was conveniently located right next to the Cinema. Originated from Kumamoto in Japan, it was currently featured as top 10 Ramen in Singapore. Queue was not that long, we got our seat very soon. Served with extensive Menu, staffs were friendly with greetings upon we stepping in.Full of savoury taste and the richness of soup were appealing, warm as well as hearty. Generous spicy minced pork poured on top, the bowl was redly yummy. Noodle was thinly made, tender while soft to shallow. Meat was a little fatty and a little mushy on the other side, I like also the decent well-marinated egg. Yet, I found the combination of cabbage in this Ramen was weird, should be replaced by beansprout to make it better, in my personal opinion. Portion was filling enough, price was completely reasonable if compared to others. Catered to local appetite, I will visit it again.  continue reading

Green tea wasn't sweet because it's the authentic Japanese green tea. Didn't like it. However, the iced lemon tea was pretty good. Sour and sweet at the same time, very refreshing.Noodles were just average; not springy, broth was quite oily, but the ingredients used were fresh, especially the squid and scallops. The egg, however, was disappointing, because it's not those onsen eggs. Ajisen's egg reminds me of the lor mee egg.The broth for the Cha Shu ramen is the same as the Seafood Ramen. The pork slices were a little bit tough and hard to chew, overall not outstanding. The side dishes were the most impressive out of the meal. Both tempura and chicken cutlet were served hot and crispy, texture was alright and prawns were fresh. Very sinful when dipped in mayonnaise. continue reading

Have been patronize Ajisen since i was young. They serve pretty decent and affordable ramen. I tried something new this time - tomyum pork shabu shabu, which is quite nice. The spice is just right and i love those pork shabu shabu, very tasty. My friend had the char siew ramen which is average according to her. The chaw siew isn't soft enough though. Also we ordered white fish for sides and its super good! I always order this when I am at Ajisen. The fish is very tasty and fresh. taste even better with the sweet chilli sauce given continue reading
