Parking around here was pretty scarce. Even the carpark at 112 Katong was full!!! Bergs has a Aircon portion and an outdoor part. Of course we opted for the indoor seats! Aircon was not strong so it helped that we dressed 'cooling'. I had the Berg with Cheese and I must say the overall taste was really good. I love their mayo, I think it's made fresh from scratch as I had not tasted mayo like this before. Hubby and I noticed that the beef patties are actually rather thin and dry, if not for the awesome sauce, I can imagine the burger being lacking in taste. Not sure if I would return as there are now many burger joints who would give Bergs a run for their money. 🤔 continue reading

Launched by two Aussies in 2009, Bergs is a restaurant specialising in gourmet burgers. Therefore, my administrative assistant and me were exciting to try them during lunch time this afternoon.Burgers are available in BERGS size (Large - 5 inches) and Small size (4 inches). All burgers are prepared from scratch - patties, sauces and marinades. Both of us did not choose to top up $5/pax for a drink and fries because we are using complimentary chips e-voucher for redeeming my free (1) serving of chips. The burgers came first and the chips were four minutes behind, so we have to enjoy their good burgers. If you want an exotic and exciting gourmet burger, try this at BERGS Gourmet Burgers. Filled with 150g Australian prime-beef patty, aioli and their homemade Bergs' sauce. This was really satisfied with the sumptious burgers - fresh gourmet burgers at affordable prices. Their meat patty is very good. When I made my payment at the counter, I feel great because there is no tax/service charge, it's ridiculous value for 1 Berg w/Cheddar Cheese (L) and 1 Crickey Too (L) amounting $31.00.Conclusion: Pocket friendly burger in Katong area. Perfect for chilling out and chatting up with friends. Give them a try and you will definitely go back, but wouldn't have chips again because they were too hot to eat. continue reading

Launched by two Aussies in 2009, BERGS Burger marries both Eastern and Western flavours together with homespun recipes to delight your taste buds. Their mission is to put a stop to pre-cooked, artificial tasting, massed produced and preservatives filled burger by serving freshly made patties and cooked on the spot.Burgers are available in BERGS size (Large) and Small size, and additional $4 to make it a meal (drinks and sides). Here we are at the East Coast branch after a strenuous workout. I ordered the Mumbo Jumbo ($14.5 - Large) and Calvin ordered BERG with Cheese ($14.5 - Large).Chunky chicken breast was perfectly spiced with Cajun and flavoured by the smoky char grill. The thought of it just whets my appetite. While the freshly grilled beef patty, marinated with BERGS spices, went really well with the hint of Blue Cheese.Essentially, each of us spent approximately $20 which was a little steep. However, I wasn't disappointed as the burgers were truly gourmet.More pics and thoughts at http://lepakwithyaops.com/bergs-gourmet-burgers-east-meets-west/ continue reading
