- Storefront- Outside seating areaCoffee culture is quite popular with the working crowd at Biopolis. It offers a mix of local food and some western delights like pasta (newly introduced) and sandwiches. The space inside the stall has only 3 small tables but there's plenty of seats that they have opened up right outside the stall. On a good day, there will be a breeze passing through the outside dining area. I had my favorite dish there, their signature mee soto (but I had mine changed to bee hoon instead). The soto soup is hearty and has a really authentic Malay taste. For $3.50, you get a rather large bowl although ingredients-wise, there's only shredded chicken slices atop. But the soto is really tasty, for I almost finished my soup.- Bee hoon sotoOne friend had the winter melon soup with a piece of chicken (you can ask for your desired part with no extra charges. My friend requested for a drumstick) for $5.50 with a bowl of rice. Their soup here is also one of the popular dishes. The soup is tasty and you can tell the chicken used is fresh chicken, not the frozen kind. Quite a healthy dish if you skim off the slight layer of oil on top of the soup due to the chicken used to brew it.- Winter melon soup with chickenAnother friend tried their new dish, the carbonara spaghetti ($6.80 I think). I had a taste of it, it's quite creamy. The bacon interestingly was quite thick and not oily/crispy. She found the serving to be a bit small and thus ordered another plate of cuttlefish balls. I found out that they have switched to using an air fryer to fry their stuff, so perhaps that explains the different taste of the bacon and also the fried cuttlefish balls my friend ordered. Yes the cuttlefish balls were not oily but it somehow tasted different and less tasty as compared to the usual frying (although it's not healthy).- Carbonara spaghettiBy the way, I don't drink coffee but I know that the coffee here is quite popular with the patrons too.Do give the mee soto or their chicken soup a try if you are in the vicinity continue reading
