A 3 weeks old outlet at Raffles Place, offering 40 over toppings for pizza. For $12.90, one can design your own 10" pizza by selecting the dough, sauce, cheese and toppings off the list.If you cannot decide, just pick one of the 10 K+B's favourite pizzas. Besides design your pizza, here also offered design your own pasta at $8.90 by selecting the type of pasta, sauce, cheese and toppings off the list.Similar to the pizza, it also offered 6 favourite pasta which are served with breadsticks. There were sides such as The Crackers ($4.90), Wings & Things ($5.90), Spuddy Daddy ($4.90), and Grinning Greens ($5.90) to go with main dishes.Spuddy Daddy ($4.90)Baked potato wedges topped with nacho cheese sauce, green capsicum, bacon strips and cheddar cheeseSinfully cheesy. If there was sour cream, it would be even better.Wings & Things ($5.90)Buffalo Wings basted with smoky BBQ sauce with zucchi, tomato and jalapeno on the sideSlightly spicy but it was quite juicy and meaty. The Millennial pizza ($12.90)Cali herb crusted dough, garlic pesto sauce, mozzarella, feta, red onion, roasted carrot, red & green capsicum, jalapeno, bacon strip, crumpled beef, spicy italian sausage, and pepperoniThis pizza came highly recommended by the boss as it was his favourite. For one who usually stay clear of jalapeno, the pizza was not that spicy at all. While meaty in taste, it was quite juicy and full of different flavours.Do not forget to have drinks with the food. There drinks such as Virgil's Natural Soda Rootbeer ($3.80), Frobisher Natural Juice Orange ($3.80) , and Frobisher Natural Juice Cranberry ($3.80), which were not found in the usual pizza outlets here. I like Frobisher Natural Juice which tasted light and refreshing without too sweet. For breakfast, the outlet offered Savoury Pockets at $4.50 with a hot drink, which was like a palm sized pizza with 4 different flavours.Curry: A mildly spicy breakfast snack filled with white onion, egg, mozzarella & rich curry sauce, topped with chunks of chicken curryAsian Fusion: A delectable pocket filled with egg, cheddar, red onion, and special zesty Asian fusion sauce, then topped with spicy Italian sausage and fennel sausageOriginal: A tasty treat filled with egg, cheddar, red onion and tangy sauce, then topped with pork bacon.Otak Otak: A unique take on a local favourite filled with white onion, mozzarella, egg and creamy otak-otak sauce with bits of fresh fish fillet, topped with prawnThe Curry version which I had tried was bursting with juice and smoky hot inside as I bite into it.Currently the outlet offered delivery to nearby area, as well as, delivery through Food Panda. continue reading

Located in the basement of Ocean Financial Centre is Knickers+Bockers. Interestingly, it's been open for about 5 months now, but only recently, has it gained online social media appearance. It's conveniently located in the underpass on the way to the MRT station. Knicker+Bockers literally refers to the casual New Yorker style of wearing baggy pants and being easy going. Here at this pizza joint, they literally give you the option to add any toppings at just a flat price. Being in Singapore, we all know certain ingredients usually command a higher price like seafood and certain meats. But not here. You can make your own pizza $12.90 or even pasta $8.90. It was fun deciding what my favourite ingredients were and I was spoilt for choice. For the base, my favourite was the pesto garlic. For cheeses, I liked the mozarella or cheddar slightly more than the rest. If you wanted a 5 cheese pizza, TICK ALL THE BOXES!i had a take home pizza of pesto, mozarella, salmon, mushrooms, beef salami, and bacon. I reheated it in the morning in the toaster at maximum temperature for 5 minutes as per Phillip, the owner's recommendation but maybe my toaster wasn't powerful enough. The base of the pizza remained soggy despite the rest of the ingredients being well cooked. It's a slight shame that even though I tried 2 different pizzas with bacon at the shop. Not one bit of bacon was crispy. The salami however was crisp as a Lay's potato crisp! That was delicious! It was nice to watch the staff pick out the ingredients as per my order and generously place them on the pizza dough and then watch my pizza roll through the oven. Almost reminds me of Quizzos, when they have the subs roll though the oven and come out all toasted and ready to be devoured!Knicker+Bockers definitely redefines the pizza dining experience in Singapore. I don't think I've seen other eatery offer unlimited toppings on a pizza at just $12.90!For people who can't decide what they want to add to their pizza, there are some signature pizzas that have been designed to help lazy people decide what to eat. Pick one of those and run along. However, I felt that that kills the fun of dining at Knicker+Bockers. CHECK OUT THE SALMON here! The thin crust pizza is a signature of NY. The staff are very friendly and can help you come to a decision on what ingredients you would like to have on the pizza. They are also very patient. The cafe has a very typical "bar" set up and it is warmly lit with a high ceiling and lights dangling down. It can accomodate a group of maybe 20 pax at total. They also serve soda, fruit juices and even ice cream soda and root beer in glassed bottles.Overall : A fun and delicious dining experience and I am so ready to experiment with more ingredients at Knicker+Bockers continue reading
