Have been meaning to check out the savory food of Mr Bean and today I finally got the chance!Only when I walked in then I realized that it's a collaboration with the famous Tiong Bahru Yong Tau Hu (YTH). So I ordered• Yong Tau Hu Laksa - they served theirs with thin Beehoon though I would have preferred the thick ones better. I must say the Beehoon amount were for thin ladies. I would have preferred a lot more! Haha... But that's where the disappointment ended. The laksa sauce was nice, flavourful and thick. The YTH pieces were about 6 pieces and they were ALL very very tasty!!! Really good!!• Soy Porridge with Spicy Minced Chicken with Mushroom - I was greedy and wanted to check out their soy porridge too. So it turned out its still a savoury porridge but mashed up soy beans in the mixture. The spicy minced actually went really well with the porridge. Again the portion is not big so thin ladies are happy. I would definitely return for the super yummy YTH!! Just that I would order 2 bowls to satisfy my bottomless pit then. continue reading

It was my first time trying Mr Bean's beancurd. I brought one bowl of beancurd with pearl. The beancurd was actually served warm, but I put it in the fridge for a while to cool it down, coz I don't like beancurd to be served warm . The beancurd was silky smooth, the pearl was chewy. It was a nice combination between the both. However, the syrup was too sweet for my liking. Seriously, it was like 5 times sweeter than the normal beancurd I usually have. I wish I could choose the sweetness level for my beancurd just like how I can choose it for their soyabean drink. continue reading

Kiosk counter selling assorted bean-related products, there was no seats provided at Mr Bean. Friendly service and prompt response, staffs handled well without fail. Menu was quite easy to understand, prices were indicated accordingly. In effort to develop new creative food items, ChocoMint Pancake and Soya Brown Rice tidbits were now on sold this February. The usual silky soft texture beancurd buried inside the soya milk, it was always a good choice for tea time. Tantalize my taste buds with healthy guilt-free dessert and snack, sweetness was just nice for my liking. Enjoy the freshness and goodness at Mr Bean, it was refreshing in different way. continue reading

I was in toa payoh HDB hub accompanying my sis as she’s applying for a flat.It was a hot day , so I decided to have something light and refreshing without feeling guilty. The soya bean ice cream was cold and smooth and refreshing. It reminds me of those days of 7-11’s mr softie. I like my ice cream in this form and I love the cute cup and spoon that comes together with it continue reading

I really love their icy blended soya milk drink because the blended ice makes it so cool and icy to drink and I love munching on the blended ice! I do realize that when I'm halfway through or more, all the liquid will be sucked in, leaving the bland blended ice there on its own so I had to wait for the ice to melt first. Perhaps they could blend it better or add more soya milk and the texture of the drink would be better? continue reading
