The atmosphere was quite cozy, I did like the place upon walking in.The ice cream was okay, good for a warm day, but I don't think it beats Ben and Jerry's! The nuts were a nice side with the ice cream, the little bit of crunch was great. I recommend their chocolate ice cream — creamy and who doesn't love chocolate?! continue reading

If you visit café cartel after 9pm, side dishes/desserts/cakes would be on 50% discount. great place for gathering and after food dessert with friends.NEVER TRY THE BEEF LASAGNA from the branch in Nex. The amount of salt they use for this dish seems free. salty to an extend that I cant even finish half of the dish. Bad one. meh. not worth a try.Service seems slow or rather, maybe due to the timing I visit(10+pm), the service attendance seems slacken. And took really their own sweet time to attend to both my friend and I. Bad impression number 2.Like I say, the only attractive part is the 50% discount for desserts and cakes. continue reading

One of my favourite dishes from cafe cartel is their carbonara. The carbonara saw is creamy and tasty especially after the egg yolk has been stirred in. The fragrance of the carbonara makes one unable to get enough of it. The bacon is savoury and blends together well with the sauce and the noodles. Delicious! One serving costs about $13. I will definitely be back for more. continue reading

This outlet is located near of one the exit at B1. You can easily miss it if you don't try looking for the signage. It is actually a pretty big outlet. Ordered the St Louis Pork Ribs to try. It is supposedly the award winning dish with their home-made sauce. One with honey glazed sauce and one with black pepper sauce. My Groupon order also came with a coconut banana split aka cocona split. A little disappointed with the service for a start as they forgot my sundae despite me telling them I've waited quite a while. Though I'm having ribs, I was not given a side plate as well. I had to top up my own plain water as well after seeing no initiative from the staff to do so. The honey glaze lost out in terms of taste to the black pepper sauce one. Serving is pretty big though. As its glazed style, it looks like the ribs are coated with honey. The sides of french fries and coleslaw are pretty average. Fortunately the coconut sundae did gave it a refreshing end with its unique taste, different from the usual vanilla banana split we try. The regular rib costs $15.60. continue reading

I went back to cafe cartel with a groupon that comprise of Pork ribs, and coconut sundae. A bad thing about cafe cartel is that, the staffs are quite inattentive to customers, and its hard to catch their attention. I had the honey glazed ribs, which took quite a long time to come, by which I was starving! The ribs are up to their usual standard, quite well prepared. The coconut ice cream tasted very rich, and not for someone who is on a diet. continue reading
