Swensen's is currently having a after lunch happy hour from 2.30pm to 5pm for students. I get to choose almost every main in the menu except for the expensive and I get a free ice lemon tea for just $10.80. thats a steal so I decided to visit them for lunch and ordered the mega burger. the presentation is nice but I feel that their beef petty had shrunk. the taste is alright and the burger is huge (thats why the mega word) so if u are looking for something to fill you up, u can try this though. the restaurant is almost empty when I went in at 3pm so basically you get all the attention from the servers. continue reading

There is this promotion going on in swensens and that is WEEKDAY LUNCH TREATS!If you order any main course from 11am to 2pm, you will get a free side, sundae or drink. Of course, my colleagues and I choose ICE CREAM for the free side. You could choose any sundae on the menu and I would recommend banana spilt which is the most expensive side on the menu.As for the mains, i ordered chicken baked rice which is the all times favourite shown on the menu. Becareful when its served as the bowl is very hot. The staff did not warn me beforehand and i got scalded when he was passing the plate to me. It looks very plain but it is quite cheesy at the top.My friend ordered the spicy seafood pasta. I tried the sauce and it tasted very blend, not spicy at all.My banana spilt! you could change flavours from their 3 original flavours. I choose hazelnut, mint and cookies and cream. I would recommend the hazelnut flavour as it is really awesome. It has the most hazelnut taste of all the similar ice cream flavour i have eaten. There are pineapple and strawberry toppings too with chocolate fudge and almonds. I really recommend their banana spilt. Eating the ice cream with the banana is a perfect match! The lunch time promotion is really very worth as you got the side completely FREE! However, eating the main dish and the dessert will make you very full! continue reading

Allocated at a side of the shopping mall, which is quite hard to find. it was a last minute order before they were closed, thus the service attitude was bad. I ordered this Chicken baked rice at $15.90. The food was served hot, but not very organized. The edge of the plate was full of baked cheese and it looks very pale, which is not appealing to me. The taste of it does not appeal to me either, the chicken breast meat was hard and the rice was also dry. After a while, I got sick with the cheese and actually stopped eating it altogether continue reading

So happy that i get to try this 'giant' burger at Swensen restaurant. Even though almost a long wait of about twenty-five minutes for it due to to heavy crowd in the restaurant, i still think it is worth the buy. The beef patty used in it is certainly the big winning secret for this burger as the beef meat is very tender and juicy and super delicious! The turkey bacon and chicken ham topped in it are also cooked till really fragrant which make the appearance looks really nice and attractive. For big eater like me, i am very sure you will be very filling after finish the whole burger. Besides, there are also crispy french fries and fresh crunchy coleslaw to go along with it as well. At less than twenty dollars per course, it is a must try for burger fans as well as beef eaters. continue reading

Have passed by Centerpoint during my shopping trip with my auntie and decided to have a short teabreak in the Swensen's cafe. The staffs here are very friendly and the environment is clean and neat too. Instead of their usual main course, I have tried their bread bowl with creamy mushroom soup. The soup texture is very thick and full of the nice flavour from the creamy soup. The sliced mushroom in it are also quite generous as well. But thought that if the soup portion can be more would be better as right now the bread bowl is kind of too big to eat with the creamy soup. continue reading
