Come here with my friend for dinner,i don't really like steamboat. But here,we can choose either just steamboat alone or both combination, so I found it quite interesting. They have herbal chicken soup base, tom yam soup base, the soup was nice, tasted sweet after cooking all those food inside, but they contain MSG, cause after that we feel very thirsty. As for food, they have a lot to choose from, meat was well marinated.Price consider average, service ok, food wise not bad. continue reading

Have arranged to meet up with some of my ex-colleague for dinner. We arranged to meet for dinner at this popular steamboat BBQ buffet location called Tian Tian Huo Guo near to Bugis Junction. There are other steamboat buffet places around that location but this one is opposite to the one I always go to and since the guys wish to have dinner there, I might as well go there and try it out. There are a lot of people eating there and the staff is able to "open" more tables by setting it up as and when there are more people eating there but there are still some construction going on over there so there are some part of the restaurant being covered up (Outside area).Quite a lot of youngest eating over at this restaurantThe sauce area is very messy to me and stopped me from getting any sauce from hereFood are not refill when they are finished (Or can say very slow in refilling especially those nicer dishes)There are two section, one is for steamboat and one is for BBQ (Actually I do not see any big difference in BBQ or steamboat at all)These oil / butter oil is being poured over the hot plate for us to start BBQ but seems very oily or there is a mixture of ingredients inside the butterThe BBQ is using those aluminum foil to cover the hot plate and they pour butter oil directly on top (Very oily) for us to start BBQ the food. To be truthful, I think steamboat buffet restaurant next the this Tian Tian Huo Guo is better in terms of the food variety and quality (Less BBQ feature). Some of the dishes that we have taken for our BBQ Steamboat buffet.Oh, they provide 1 x free ice-cream cone for each person having the buffet though the quality of the ice-cream is not really good.More details of this review can be found at my blog as follow:http://www.shootnblog.com/?p=1678 continue reading

What comes to mind when you hear about steam boat? I think of hot and spicy food! Some people like it hot, some people like it mild but those people havent had a hot and steamy experience.I am not joking when i say this! Just across bugis junction lies a street of steam boats and when you walk all the way to the end, you will find one stall which sells BBQ and steam boat! This is the one! It is so epic and tasty that i think sometimes hygiene plays a null factor. There is a selection of meats in marinated sauce. My favorites are the Sausages with black pepper sauce, Beef slices, pork pieces and the fishball. I have a mixture of this on the grill as well as in the soup! The soup is an essential part of steam boat right?? RIGHT! I like it with the malar soup in which i think it is the best of the best of the very best. Place some beef inside the hot soup drop it in.. take it out and let the flavors soak in and wow! Thats the awesome thing! The awesome tastes!!! The staff there is not bad though sometimes they are very busy such that they forget about you!The hygiene, well i would say one thing... Dont think about it... Just eat and enjoy! The ambience is hot, sweaty and humid... However, thats the price to pay for the Steam Boat!!Dont judge the book by its cover.. so dont judge the boat by its steam! continue reading

The steamboat pot comes in two compartments, so you can choose to cook your food in both chicken soup and tom yam soup. Enjoy a wide spread of meat eg chicken, beef and mutton; seafood eg prawns, flower crabs, sliced fish and shellfish; yong tau foo and vegetables. While waiting for the soup to boil, you can help yourself to a variety of cooked food eg fried noodles, fried rice, fried chicken wings, chicken nuggets, fish fingers, tea eggs, mixed soup etc. Dip your food into the special chilli sauce, made from chilli padi, for a savory experience. Complete your wholesome dinner with ice cocktail jelly and four flavors of ice cream for dessert. continue reading

i decided to have dinner together with my secondary school mates at tian tian huo guo because it is the most common one to think of if impromptu . they have a variety of vegetables and have 3 types of soup to choose from. they are chicken soup, herbal soup and spicy soup. they have free flow of drinks too. and we sat by the side of the road and it was windy so it was kind of like a chillax evening ! continue reading
