Went for lunch here as I was in the CBD area. Saw a short queue and deciding the try as I had Lor Mee craving for a few days already.Ordered the $4 bowl as I was feeling hungry. The bowl came up alot of ingredients so there is alot of texture  in every bite. Fragrant with the garlic and chilli, it was perhaps the best Lor Mee I had for awhile.Love the crispy (was it wonton skin?) thing they put on top at the end. Super shiok continue reading

I had joined the long queue of wei nan wang hock kian lor mee because i thought it will be nice. However, it didn't not turn out to be what i expected. There is fried meat ball in it which i dislike the most. It is not crispy and there is a slight sour taste. There was pork added too which is quite special. But i didn't really it as it was too hard to chew on. The sauce was nothing special, not very nice. I guess the long queue must be due to the price as it only costs $2.00 per bowl. continue reading

As i saw a long queue for this lor mee stall i decided to give it a try. The stall is run by an elderly couple and the auntie is quite nice too. They have two different pricing which is $2 and $3. I like that the gravy is not too thick and it is just nice and the ingredients they give are also quite filling with the noodles as well. The stall is quite popular and so you might have to queue for around 15 minutes during lunch time but it is worth the wait i feel. continue reading

This was one of the famous lor mee stall at this area and during my days when I worked around this area, I failed not to visit them at least twice or thrice a month. Often there would be a long queue and usually had to wait around 15 to 30 minutes for our turn. Anyway, we ordered a $3.00 bowl of noodle. The taste was different from before as the gravy was less thicken as before and the ingredients were slightly lesser than before too. Overall the standard has dropped. continue reading

The lor mee gravy was very thick and tasty. No need to add vinegar and pepper and the flavour was there already. They used those thick flat yellow noodles. The noodles were cooked perfectly, it was rather chewy and most importantly did not stick to the teeth. They were very generous with their ingredients like fish cakes, and sliced meat.as a whole we were both really satisfied with the food, and great price too. continue reading
