I used to visit Tanglin Halt Market when hanging around at Commonwealth area, no matter lunch or early dinner. Thought of having braised related dishes, I decided on Duck Rice stall. Nice grainy darkening rice, it looked tempting if compared to dull plainly white rice. Tender juicy boneless duck was tangy, wonderful thick sauce poured over the plate. Portion rather huge, I appreciate both quality and quantity. The soup accompanied was in strong herbal taste, sweetish and salty for my liking. Not every place provided braised peanuts, it did score extra marks even only few pieces given. $3.00 was really inexpensive, thumb up for the meal.

Signature Dishes
I was here for dinner with my hubby and not knowing what else to order since my favourite stall wasn't open that day, I decided to order the duck rice from this stall. Besides the braised duck, there are also braised tofu, half of an egg and braised peanuts. The duck is really tender and soft, and the other accompanying ingredients are also very tasty. I also loved the gravy used to cook the rice, resulting in a lovely and fragrant braised rice which isn't too salty. It is well worth the price of $3 with so many ingredients and more importantly, it tastes good as well.

My father packed duck rice back for dinner. It was my first time eating duck rice from this stall. I was quite delighted to see so many ingredients in the packet. Besides duck slices, there were tofu, peanuts and half an egg. For just the price of three dollars per packet, it was really worth it! The chili was tasty, but not enough for me to eat with the entire packet of rice. Everything in the packet was rich in flavour and although the rice was quite a large portion, I managed to finish everything up! = YUMMY.
