continue reading

I am a huge toast fans. I love to eat it the traditional way, with kaya and butter each being applied on one slice of the toast. However, I am kind of disappointed with Ya Kun's toast. Don't get me wrong, their Kaya is flavourful and tasty I reckon, but the toasted bread itself spoils the whole thing. It's very dry, and too crispy till powdery if you get what i mean. It sort of losing the 'bread' texture to me. continue reading

I decided to try Yakun's french toast for a change since I am always ordering the kaya toasts. I am quite surprised that the french toast is served with kaya as well! I think that is a good measure for customers who love their kaya and also for Yakun, extra publicity for their awesome kaya. The french toast isn't too oily which is what I like about it. Delicious without being too sinful. The french toast tastes good on its own already, but I just can't help spreading some kaya on to it so as to not waste the little saucer of kaya. continue reading
