After school one day, on a particularly eventful day, my friends and I decide to had a lunch gathering at Yoshinoya.I had my Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl and i think i added too much seasoning to it, as can be seen from the picture above. I like this dish out of the others because of the thick teriyaki sauce, which can also be used to season the white rice and also the chicken which is quite tender. They also have vegetables (long beans, cauliflowers, and carrots. Which gives off quite a healthy vibe on the whole. continue reading

there is only one bad thing of yoshinoya, the servings offered seems like some kids meal it is just too little to fill up my stomach. However, just love their beef rice set. Its juicy and tender and they complement well together especially with the japanese rice served. It taste even better when you mix the beef and rice together, you can taste the meat in every bite. continue reading

2 bowls of teriyaki chicken (upsize bowl is the top left), 1 bowl of salmon. It is quite healthy as they also added in a small portion of vegetable together with the rice. We ordered the combo meal.Bowl value meal: $7.90 which include a bowl set, a drink and miso soupBowl complete meal: $9.90 which include a bowl set, a drink, miso soup, dessert and fries/cup corn. They have some add ons for $1 only, so we ordered the sweet potato fries. My brother upsized his teriyaki bowl and by paying a dollar more, his portion of rice and teriyaki chicken is of a larger portion and I feel that it is quite worth for guys. I really like the teriyaki sauce on the chicken. However, the salmon bowl which my mother ordered was quite dry. The cup of corn was nice. As for the dessert, I suggest people to take the green tea pudding if it is available rather than the fruit pudding. The fruit pudding only consist of those mixed fruits which come from the fruit can. The green tea pudding was nice and please choose this dessert instead if it is available. continue reading

Japanese fast food that is way better than fast food burgers and fried chicken! This is more wholesome, with rice, vegetables and meat. It's not as cheap as my local hawker centre but I think the quality is better (the food is not burnt here, unlike at the local hawker centre). Service is fast and polite and they obviously support the grey parade. Tasty food and the rice used is short grain rice! Recommended! They even have auto-ordering machines now! continue reading

I decided to order something different from my usual beef bowl, so today i tried out their teriyaki chicken meal instead. As i took the student meal, it costs me only $5. I didn't particularly like their teriyaki chicken as i feel that it seems a bit too dry for me. I wish they had put more sauce on the chicken. Didn't eat the raw vegetables too as it is not to my liking. I think next time i will stick to the usual beef bowl. Service was fine and fast as well. continue reading
