Tucked away in Suntec City Mall, is an art gallery that also houses a café - Artisan C. Specialty Coffee. While you’re there, we recommend trying their “Dirty” ($6) cuppa, which is basically iced espresso, which gets sweeter with every sip, leaving a bittersweet note at the end. 3. Oriole Coffee + Bar

Amidst the hustle and bustle of Somerset is one of the pioneers of the third wave coffee movement in Singapore. Oriole Coffee + Bar has an extensive menu of coffee beverages, leaving you with a luxury of choices –Including their popular cold brews, Taisho Black and Taisho White. If you are lactose intolerant, fret not, you can still have your caffeine fix by switching soy milk with nut milk. For bites, we recommend their Fish & Chips ($20), which comprises thinly battered fresh snapper fillets served with homemade tartar dip and fries – arguably one of the best in Singapore. 4. East Manhattan Bakery & Café

In this café located in Upper Bukit Timah, you can find Manhattan-style bread, cakes and pastries. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Expect to be spoilt for choice with options ranging from Artisanal Breakfast Sets to Gluten-Free Mains. The Guacamonster ($14) is packed with superfoods such as tofu and topped with a generous amount of guacamole to give you lots of energy while you bask in the warm vibes of the café that allows you to catch up on work comfortably. The most talked about co-working space in Keong Saik, The Working Capitol, houses its very own café at the foyer – The Daily Roundup. 9. 1933 Singapore

Paying tribute to the year in which the old Capitol Building was built, BreadTalk’s new concept 1933 brings you back in time, especially with its vintage furniture and oldies playing in the background, which greatly contrasts with the rest of the newly opened Capitol Piazza mall. Here, we recommend going for signatures such as the Nanyang Curry Chicken ($14.90), which is served in a bread bowl.
