10 Food Places We Love in VivoCity
We all love going to VivoCity, not just for shopping, but because of all the dining destinations within this gigantic mall near Sentosa. But with so many options come the problem of choosing the best eateries where you can spend your money. We list down 10 of our favourite restaurants there!
What we like: Hearty mains and that Epic Brownie
The big name hit our shores this July and anchored itself in Singapore’s largest retail and lifestyle mall. As you’ve read in this week’s 5 Food Scoops, the family-friendly restaurant has updated its menu with a wave of more than 15 new items. The impressively thick slab of Grilled Aussie Pork Chop is marinated for a full 24 hours, cooked “under a brick” and served with some honest-to-goodness crackling. For those who’d prefer a less sinful order away from the pasta section, try the Baked Sustainable Halibut. Fresh white fish from Norway sits in a mild yet tasty spring vegetable stew, vignole.
Remember to save some space for desserts because you’ll need to try the Epic Brownie. With the perfect name, the warm, moist and exceedingly fudgy chocolate treat is one to ruin your diet plans without any regrets.
Wait, there’s more! Though still limited, you’ll be glad to know that Jamie’s Italian has increased its reservations intake by 40%. So you probably won’t need to wait 3 weeks for your turn.

What we like: Premium beef which can rival top steakhouses
Steaks are undeniably…expensive. One whole slab of sirloin cut can cost you over a hundred dollars in a fine dining restaurant. Enter: The Chop House. Brought to you by the people from Wooloomooloo Group, this gastro bar located at VivoCity brings customers affordable but top notch beef.
Aside from steaks like the 200g USDA Prime Rib Eye, the food here showcases a range of classic western favourites. For the burgers, have the Patty Melt Beef Burger where the thick meat is covered with melted cheese and fresh veggies. Another stalwart choice is the Berkshire Pork Chop presented with Mongolian glaze of hoisin and black bean chilli sauce.
Drinks are also a priority at The Chop House, as evident in the long bar inside. It carries several boutique brews on tap and bottled craft beers from countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and Belgium. One thing unique about this place is the SelfTap Beer concept from the USA, where customers can pour their own drinks. Read our review here.
Wait, there’s more! For the whole month of December, The Chop House is offering a 2-course set lunch at $25++ and a 3-course set lunch at $32++. Only available during weekdays (except Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Eve)

What we like: New menu which stays true to British cuisine
The Queen & Mangosteen is a charming British gourmet pub located in VivoCity. To bring the essence of Britain in Singapore, the furniture feature plush seats which look like the real English lounge. For the pub area, the high tables, benches, and chairs are customised with leather furnishings, giving the place a contemporary feel.
As for the food, Executive Chef Patrick Tan and his team have come up with mouth-watering creations such as the Truffle Crème Brulee & Seared Scallop with Wild Rocket Leaves and the Wild Fire Spiced Duck Confit. Of course, they still retained classic favourites which include the Wagyu Beef Burger, Pork Bangers & Mash, and Beef & Guinness Pie.
Dining at The Queen & Mangosteen is a feast for your senses. What you get are dishes which stay true to the British cuisine. At the same time, you get a panoramic waterfront view of the scenic Sentosa while relaxing in a cosy setting.
Wait, there’s more! Feast like the Queen every weekdays, from 12pm to 3pm. For every 3 main courses you order, you get one for FREE! Valid for groups of 4 only.

What we like: Medieval theme with equally interesting menu
The King Louis Grill & Bar has the bragging rights of being Singapore’s only medieval-themed restaurant. It’s not hard to miss in VivoCity; the shop front is designed like a castle and the entrance is manned by two knights in full armour. Inside, they went all out to furnish the restaurant with customised wooden furniture… the ones you can only see in medieval movies.
The King Louis Grill and Bar isn’t just about the interesting concept. It’s also one of the restaurants with good food to boot. The signature items also stay true to the unique theme. For the hungry knights, the best option is the Kings Banquet, a platter full of assorted seafood items. As for the ladies in waiting, they can easily satiate their meat cravings with The Queen Isabelle. Yes, this choice consists of roast beef, baby back ribs, and the like. There are ala carte options for those who are not looking for sharing platters.

What we like: Paellas with a great ambience
Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant will be a choice candidate for a romantic night out over great authentic Spanish cuisine with good service. Groovy Spanish tunes permeate the air while you take your time to make your order. On the menu, you’ll notice a wide range of Paellas, wines and Sangrias so if you’re spoilt for choice, embrace their warm service and ask for recommendations.
Though the Paellas come with a 20 minute wait, we urge you to give the vibrantly plated dish a go and you can fill your time with a drink or two whilst you soak in their laid back atmosphere. The alfresco seats give you a more than stunning view of the harbor and the restaurant as is aptly named, brings you the serenity away from the bustling mall.
Wait, there’s more! Besides live band performances, Happy Hour at Serenity gets you Beers on the Tap at $10++ per pint, House Pour Spirits at $6++ and for $24++; you’ll get 3 Bottled Beers of the Month – daily.
