For lovers who share Unless you tread the same path as Joey Tribbiani who doesn’t share food at any cost, Ricciotti is a good option for you and your partner this Valentine’s Day. This Italian restaurant exhibits the true Italian way of eating – with large sharing portions presented “cucina nostrana”, meaning home style. The Valentine’s Menu available only on the 14th of February starts with Cuore Rosso, a crispy pizza bread topped with fresh tomato and basil. (Did you know? - Cuore means ‘heart’ in Italian). Then comes a generous lobster with shellfish baked in a parcel and served with aromatic slices of focaccia bread – also known as Aragosta al Cartoccio. Of course, expect nothing less than a beautiful trio of desserts: raspberry chocolate tart, pavlova with passion fruit and a cranberry orange thyme sorbet to end the hearty meal on a sweet, sweet note. You’ll also have a legitimate reason to flaunt your food photography skills to your significant other, or work as a team to win attractive prizes with your most creative photos of your Valentine’s Day moment at Ricciotti.

For the hungry birds Whatever the occasion is, trust Jack’s Place to deliver something which will make us head there for a hearty meal. He teases the palate with an Appetizer of Strawberry & Tomato with Red Corral & Arugula Salad plus Mango, Peach, & Tomatoes Gazpacho Caliente Soup. As soon as they leave you wanting for more, he gives you 4 options for the main course. For the "Love Birds" have the Pan-roasted Game Hen "Osso Bucco" with Grilled Sea Prawn, Onion Smashed Potatoes, & Spring Garden Peas Carrots or if you want to give your loved one a "Warm Embrace", you can opt for the Grilled N.Z. Ribeye Steak with "Tempura" Half Spiny Lobster. Couples who have a "Burning Passion" for each other should try the Grilled Chicken Roulade with "Tempura" Half Spiny Lobster. Last but not least is the "Romance by the Sea" where they can enjoy Grilled Fillet of Atlantic Salmon with Seared U.S Scallop Cream Veloute and vegetables. The meal ends with a sweet dessert of Raspberry Chocolate Mousse. For some D-I-Y BBQ Valentine’s Day isn’t all about fancy dining. Sometimes, the best moments are when you and your loved one can let your hair down and just enjoy the food with no fancy schmancy. Thankfully, you can do just that at Kkondon Barbeque which has prepared two Valentine’s Day Dinner Specials for couples. The first DIY BBQ Set A has Fresh Salmon, Pork Belly, and Half Ginseng Chicken Soup. You can share this (since the portions are big enough for two) or if you’re not shy, order the DIY BBQ Set B! It has more meat such as the U.S. Short Rib and Pork Collar. There's also the Half Ginseng Chicken Soup to warm up the stomach. The Valentine’s Day Specials are available from 13 to 16 February 2014 (dinner only); both sets are priced at $25.80++ per person.

For something European Can’t decide between Italian or French? You can have both when you dine at Sprigs Bistro for Valentine’s Day. This modern European diner has prepared an impressive 5-course dinner menu for the occasion. Like most meals, it starts with a light soup of Cauliflower with Seared Japanese Scallops and Truffle Oil; after that is the refreshing yet flavour-packed Pan Seared Foie Gras with Mandarin Orange and Duck Rilette Salad. For the main course, you’d be glad to know that you have options - Baked Cod with Tomato Saffron Broth, Capers and Kalamata Olives for the not-so-hungry and the Grilled Australian Pork Tenderloin with Apple, Sage Sauteed Greens and Grain Mustard Sauce for the meat lovers. By this time, you may already be full, but save room for desserts-which we think is the best part of the whole menu. And for this night, the treat will be the Chocolate Slice with Raspberry Sorbet. Wash it all down with coffee or tea. Better yet, cheers to a glass of red/white wine on the house.
