Bao Today: Dim Sum Buffet from $16.80++ | OpenRice 新加坡開飯喇

Located at the first level of Hotel Rendezvous, Bao Today is the place to go if you're looking for affordable dim sum buffet at the heart of town. We dropped by to try out some of their best-sellers with six OpenRice members. Priced from $16.80++ and with over 30 dim sum items to choose from, Bao Today’s Tapas Dim Sum Buffet is a worthy deal! With a rotating menu, all dishes are freshly made on the day itself and brought straight to your table. Diners can then choose to take as much or as little food as they want. Feel free to ask their friendly service staff for recommendations or to get repeated servings of dishes.

Our favourite dish was the Steamed Sliced Fish with Nonya Sauce, consisting of an appetising tangy sauce over fresh cod fish that kept us going back for more.

The Siew Mai and Prawn Dumplings (pictured) – essential for every dim sum meal – had a fresh and juicy filling.

Whip out your smartphones for this Instagram-worthy shot of the Salted Egg Custard Buns (liu sha bao). Encased in a pandan skin, the filling was smooth and sweet, with a hint of saltiness.

Other dishes that are worth a mention are the Pan Fried Sliced Pork, Braised Pork Bun and Scallop Prawn Dumplings (pictured).
