1. No Kidding! This Woman Survived 2013 by Only Consuming Starbucks Products

Beautiful Existence (real name), a mom from Seattle loves to challenge herself with the weirdest things…well, in our opinion. For the whole 2013, she decided to eat nothing but food and drinks from Starbucks. She initially took on this challenge to see how a “spoiled American” like her could survive 12 months without having a lot of options when it comes to food. We’re glad to report that she was able to accomplish her goal; although, the total cost of buying breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this popular coffee chain was well over $7000 bucks. How about you? Would you challenge yourself to something drastic like this just to prove a point? 2. Visit the Winter Hokkaido Fair at Takashimaya Now Oishii! It's another one of those Japanese food fairs which we can't get enough of. From today until 12 January 2014, shop 'til your drop at Takashimaya's Winter Hokkaido Fair located at the Food Hall, B2, and Takashimaya Department Store. You can purchase your beloved Japanese food at reasonable prices for this period. Some options, such as the 8-pc Dried Fish Set come in a limited number though. But hey, you can still spend your money on other items which include confectionaries and fresh seafood. As an added perk, there will be demonstrations and other activities to keep you entertained throughout the day. 3. A Purr-fect Place in Boat Quay

Take off your shoes, wash your hands and don’t try to wake a sleeping cat. These are just some of the rules at Singapore’s first cat café, Neko no Niwa, located in Boat Quay. We hear you cat lovers purring with excitement! And there’s no need to go all the way to Japan or Seoul for this unique café experience any more. Besides 13 residential cats, the café serves drinks and desserts, provides free WiFi and has a selection of board games to keep you entertained while the feline friends snuggle alongside you for company. That company comes at a price. Charges here stand at $12/pax for the first hour and $5/pax for the subsequent half hours. It’s recommended that you ring them up at 6536 5319 to make reservations due to their limited space that can only accommodate up to 25 people at a go. 4. Whisk away to Ku Dé Ta's SkyBar Every Thursday Night Celebrate Thursday nights at KU DÉ TA’s SkyBar as they present you Aficionado, a weekly affair designed for connoisseurs starting this week on 9 January 2014. From 6pm onwards, indulge in an exclusive premium whisky menu that features eight premium and rare whiskies like the triple malt John Walker & Sons Odyssey, as well as a rare ‘private blend’ of Johnnie Walker Platinum. And as you unwind after a long day at work under the stars at the SkyBar, be prepared to groove to the funk re-edits and disco house musical vibes that DJ Deepak has in store for you. 5.
