New BBQ dishes to savour

To celebrate the opening of its new VivoCity outlet, BORNGA has introduced brand new dishes to its menu. For pork belly lovers, there’s the Mansinjang Samgyupsal ($25 for 200g), tenderised, melt-in-your-mouth pork belly slices. Fans of pork ribs would appreciate the flavour-packed pork ribs, marinated with a special house sauce – Yangnyum Dwaeji Galbi ($33 for 250g). Another scrumptious pork dish to try would be the Dwaeji Gohchujang BBQ ($36), a delightful mix of grilled, spicy pork slices stir-fried with spring onions served on a hot plate. Note that BORNGA’s BBQ creations are good for about two to three pax to share, depending on how many dishes you’re ordering for your Korean feast. Remember: the more, the merrier! Warm, soupy goodness

From BBQ delights to bubbling goodness, BORNGA has also created new soups and hotpots for patrons to sip on. The BORNGA Bulgogi ($45), a delicious beef hotpot, is one irresistible highlight you can’t miss out on. Featuring beef fillet marinated with a special BORNGA sauce, this hotpot comes with various greens and glass noodles and can easily serve two to three persons. For something that measures a little higher on the Scoville scale, there’s the Yukgaejang ($20), a peppery, fiery beef concoction filled with shredded beef, scallions, bean sprouts, as well as glass noodles. Guaranteed to warm that belly of yours and clear any sort of nasal congestion that’s bugging you! Last but not least, the Sundubu Jjigae ($18) is a spicy assorted seafood soup cooked with tofu and egg; this one’s a comforting, healthy choice that just feels good for the soul. Must-try signature dish: Woo Samgyup
BORNGA’s bestseller, Woo Samgyup
Now, you can’t leave BORNGA without trying the signature Woo Samgyup dish ($28 for 200g). As the restaurant’s bestseller and star attraction, the Woo Samgyup is renowned celebrity chef, Chef Paik Jong Won’s patented recipe of thinly-sliced beef seasoned in BORNGA’s top-secret marinade. The thing that makes the Woo Samgyup here so special lies in the method of preparation. The Woo Samgyup is served immediately after being doused in the special BORNGA dressing that retains the meat’s natural colour while bringing the traditional bulgogi taste to a whole new level. This differs from the typical Korean BBQ bulgogi, which usually turns out dull-looking after being marinated for half a day. Over here, this dish is best enjoyed dipped in the signature Woo Samgyup sauce – yet another patented creation of Chef Paik. Trust us when we say you wouldn’t believe how mind-blowingly tasty BORNGA’s Woo Samgyup is until you try it for yourself! Win dining vouchers courtesy of BORNGA!
