The week-long event that saw a whopping 40,000 seats readily snapped up in its last edition in March, is back for its 7th installment from 7 – 13 October 2013 with fresh additions and healthier gourmet options. With your favourite restaurants offering a three course lunch for $25++* and dinner for $35++*, are you not at the edge of your seat gleaming with anticipation?

What’s new?
To fans of Blue Bali on Cluny, East8, Fern & Kiwi Bar, Hash, Oca Grassa and Prive Grill, it’s time to pump those fists in the air. These fine establishments have been inducted into the bi-annual gourmet event alongside hot favourites like Au Jardin, Salt Grill & Sky Bar, Absinthe, Boathouse and The Knolls, to name a few.

1. Alkaff Mansion Ristorante
A hot spot for wedding events, Alkaff Mansion Ristorante introduces authentic Tuscan Italian cuisine set against the luxuriant foliage of Telok Blangah Hill Park. Elegant yet rustic with colonial charm, this fine dining option never fails to satisfy their guests with its lively collage of hearty dishes. Headed by Executive Chef Marco Guccio, some of the restaurant’s dish highlights include Marinated Scottish Salmon ‘Carpaccio’ with Yellow Frisée Salad & Salmon Roe, which is available in their Restaurant Week menu. You can even opt for alfresco seating to dine under the stars and be dazzled by live jazz music.

2. Forlino
With a tagline like “timeless Italian cuisine”, the much raved about Italian restaurant should not be missed for those hankering after authentic and classic Italian food. Located at One Fullerton Bay, customers are whisked away into another world whilst rewarded with a magnificent view of Marina Bay front. The restaurant is home to top Japanese Chef Kentaro, best known for his unique Japanese infusions in Italian cuisine. Be sure to try some of their signature menu items such as the Tortellini ai Cinque Formaggi with Saffron Cream Sauce, Slow Braised Kurobuta Pork Cheek & Beetroot Puree.
3. Gaia Ristorante & Bar
Located at the all rustic Goodwood Park Hotel and infused with nature in every aspect, Gaia Ristorante & Bar carries an ambiance perfect for that romantic date. In the Sixth Edition of Restaurant Week, OpenRicer vnuss147 indulged in dishes like Pan fried ham and ricotta cheese timbale served with red radicchio chicory and Homemade tagliatelle pasta with soft shell crab, but what won her over that night was the Slow oven-baked cod fish in milk.
"The cod fish was the best dish of the night! The fat content was just nice, and it was cooked perfectly well. The presentation was gorgeous too!"
Donning a surprise menu this time, expect Executive Chef Moreno Martini to blow you away with his marriage of classic and contemporary Italian dining. We doubt you’ll be disappointed.
