Seattle Pike Chowder’s signature dish, the New England Chowder ($12.90) was served in a bread bowl filled with chopped ocean clams, potatoes, celery and condiments such as onion, thyme, white pepper and sea salt. Made of equal parts butter and flour, the velvety clam stock was both a heart and stomach warmer to start with. Definitely a must-try.
