Decided to have something light for breakfast, ordered a chicken glutinous rice and a meat pao.The lady is friendly when ordering and it was serve pitting hot. Taste for the both dish is good and most importantly is when the weather is cold and having a warm breakfast. They do sell other pao and dim sum too. The price is reasonable and affordable. Will come for it when i pass by. 繼續閱讀

Tiong bahru pau has different types of pau and some other dim sum items such as siew Mai har gau and lor Mai gai. My favorite item there is actually the lor mai gai which has soft chewy grains of glutinous rice which are flavourful and yummy. The chicken pieces are not super fantastic in terms of flavour tasting slightly artificial but overall the dish still comes together nicely. 繼續閱讀

My mother knew I was going to toing bahru market to eat so she reminded me to buy home the tiong bahru bao. I got their char siew bao and the char siew sio. The char siew bao is really good, the skin is light and fluffy and it is not too thick. The char siew filling inside is seasoned perfectly, not too sweet nor it is too salty. My sister is very picky when it comes to char siew pao, she cannot stand fats in her bao but this one was a thumbs up for her. The char siew sio was really fragrant. The pastry is very light and simply crumbles when you take a bite. They were very generous with the char siew inside. I like the buttery taste of the pastry. They really live up to their name. 繼續閱讀

Not only the wide range of chinese meat paus that are nice here, I also like their half egg with chicken meat bao. Whole boiled egg is cut into half before spreading some juicy chicken a one side before coat in flour and bring deep fry. The outcome of it is crispy outside and tender and chewy for the inside. Other than this, the siew mai, deep fried popiahs, yam puffs are equally delicious as well too. Long queue may be expected here during lunch and dinner hours, so do come by earlier to avoid disappointment. 繼續閱讀

Tiong Bahru Pau is not only famous for different types of baos but also for snacks like fried spring roll. I have tried different versions of fried spring rolls from different places but still think the best fried spring roll is found here. The main ingredients of this fried spring roll are turnips and bean sprouts. It fried really well to give the skin a nice crispiness but minus off the rancid taste. It tasted even good if eaten with the chilli provided. It is so good that one piece is never enough but left you craving for more. It is an ideal snack for coffee break. Strongly recommended. 繼續閱讀
