FoodI was recommended to this place by my colleague who describe the food as his childhood favourite till now. I visited this place 2 weeks ago, unfortunately the stall was closed for the business day. Bought a big and small Lor Mee with a foo chow fish ball soup mixed with meat balls and dumplings. The big version of Lor Mee, S$5.00 was ordered without chilli as requested. The smaller version of Lor Mee, S$3.00 has everything included except the cut chilli. Zhong Xing's uses the normal kind of round yellow mee instead of the flat one. Light flavoured and somehow tastes old school to me. For those who do not like strong and richness lor mee taste can actually goes for this. The bowl of lor mee does not have fish meat too. Most of the customers were senior citizens and was enjoying the bowl of lor mee on their tables. The meat ball was not the usual springy chewy balls we had and instead, they are made up of minced meat and easily falls apart after a bite.Foo Chow Fish Ball is quite normal and has nothing significant to me. With exterior soft and chewy filled with minced meat. This bowl of mixed soup costs S$5.00 (big).ServiceThe lady was rather friendly and cheerful. As we approached the stall, she immediately stop her preparations of ingredients and attended to us. AmbienceSurprisingly, out of so many stalls in the coffee shop, only Zhong Xing's and the drinks stall is opened. Most of the customers who patronized their stalls are regulars and are in good terms with the stall owners. As it is a rather old estate, little or no youngsters in the 20s are seen patronizing the stalls.PriceReasonable and affordable pricing.
