Chicken rice is one of the most popular dish in Singapore and you can find this dish literally everywhere. The technique of finding a reputable stall is as easy as tracking down the longest queue, and my journey led me to the stall-front of Yishun 925 Chicken Rice.HALF CHICKEN (12.00)Skillfully deboned, chopped and dressed in an emulsion of light soy-sauce and sesame oil, the glistening steamed chicken is rested on a bed of sliced cucumber, served with a portion of acar on the side.As I ordered the half chicken, instead of the regular plate of chicken rice (3.00/4.00), there was a mix of both dark meat and white meat. The boneless meat has a silky smooth appearance with a firm and springy texture. Served at a cold temperature, the flesh was juicy and succulent. Some people remove it, but I can't miss out on the layer of slippery soft skin that literally falls apart in your mouth. Definitely one of the best place to have Chicken Rice.Full review with pictures, prices and ratings at - http://zacbhl.blogspot.sg/2016/04/yishun-925-hainanese-chicken-rice-since.htmlZacbhl - Eating, Writing, Sharing

If you know where the Tip Top Curry Puff is in Ang Mo Kio Central, you will be able to find this chinese rice stall. They are located in the same coffee shop. It can be quite hard to find seating at this coffee shop, I had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes before I could find an empty table. On the bright side, you don't have to queue long for the chicken rice. There was no queue at all! YAY!The portion wasn't alot but my friend and I decided to share. I asked for an extra bowl of soup and the staff gladly made an extra one for me. The Rice was very fragrant. I liked the rice with the sauce from the hainanese chicken. The soup was quite flavourful and you could tell that it was pure chicken essence in it and not MSG, as I didn't feel one bit thirsty from drinking the soup. Here is the star itself, the steamed chicken was very smooth and tasty, the roasted chicken tasted more salty and it was very tender. The achar (nonya spiced vegetable) was also quite tasty, I enjoyed the chunks of pineapples and cucumber. It wasn't very spicy and it added a sweetness level to the dish. All in all, a cheap and good plate of chicken rice.Prices start from $2.80.

Bought a packet of Hainanese chicken rice for dinner during a weekday evening. Waiting time was not very long, only about 5 minutes, probably because the chicken was going to be sold out soon.I like the chilli a lot because it is extremely spicy and goes well with the fragrant chicken rice. Did not like the fact that there are chilli seeds in it though. As I am rather picky, I do not like to eat the skin but the meat is not too bad. However, the portion is a little small for $4. Overall, I liked the food but price is a bit steep.

This is a nice place to have cheap and nice lunch. The meat is nice and they give a generous serving of sauce on the meat. A set for 1 with chicken meat, extra rice and chicken kidney cost only $4.90. There is always a long queue at this store during lunch. But their service is always very fast. Waiting time is only about 10min. Bring your friends along and have a chat while waiting. It is worth it.
