During my posting on Paradise Dynasty, I made a brief mention of my experience at Paradise Inn, but there were no photos or writeup for it. Today, I set the lunch vennue with good buddy *Sheldon there, so that I could satiate my craving for the Salted egg prawns, and also write about this place. There are many outlets of Paradise Inn, and we selected the branch at City Square Mall - 180 Kitchener Road #B1-01 / 02 City Square Mall, Singapore 208539 and the number is 6509 9337. While the decor is not as lavish or elegant as Paradise Dynasty @ Ion, of course, Paradise Inn still provides a tastefully-designed Oriental ambience for its diners. I liked the tiny golden teapot for our Chinese Tea.The first dish that was served was our Seafood Fried Rice - a platter of delicious, egg-fried rice tossed generously with ingredients such as prawns, fish cake chunks, crabmeat, spring onions and roe. The taste was light, but redolent of the seafood's savoury flavor, and the texture is a nice softness that comes with a "mouth feeling".Next, the Crisp Fried Crystal Prawns with Salted Egg - something I had been craving for a long, long while but am not sure why today it did not taste as nice as per my recollection. Anyway, here the prawns are succulent, springy in texture and fresh. The skin is crispy in texture, as the name implies, and the salted egg paste adds a sandy-ness to it that is both tasty and felt good on the tongue, like gold dust filling the mouth. Today, though, I thought that the paste was a tad salty? For more detailed information and photos, do visit:http://thearcticstar.blogspot.sg/2014/03/lunch-at-paradise-inn-city-square-mall.html 繼續閱讀

Lunch with boss & customer and Paradise Inn City Square Mall. Ordered quite a number of dishes but all dishes are pretty normal. Service here is pretty prompt but the wait in-between dishes are quite slow, and ice-water here are charged at $0.30 which they did not inform you when you request for it. After we left, we also realized that we were charged for Grouper in Black Bean Sauce, but it was not being served to us!Stewed Pork Belly is nice. Both the bun & pork belly is very softCrispy Supreme Seafood Fried Rice - This has to be one of the better item of all due to the roe in the rice. We feel it should be served first rather than lastVermicelli w/Pig Trotter - It doesn't looks impressive but it is nice. For other dishes we ordered, http://milkfrost.blogspot.sg/2013/07/lunch-paradise-inn.html 繼續閱讀

It has been a while since I last dined in Paradise Inn. Lucky I made reservation because when we reached there, there was quite a number of people waiting for table. We were shown to a big table and given the menu. So I just browsed through and notice that there was some changes in the menu as compared to the last time I dine in.I was asking for help from the waitress and a few tables of people looking at me. I thought there was something wrong with me, hahaha. After I called for the waitress, then she said ok that she help me to take order then I realised that I have to order myself but no one passed me any order form! Ordered a few dishes: Salmon Skin - Nice and crispy! Prawn Paste Chicken Wings - Not too oily, quite good. Wasabi Prawn - Too much mayonnaise and wasabi cream. Could do better with less.Fried Rice - Yummy with some fish roe too!Spinach with 3 eggs - Quite decent, normal. Steam Fish - Not nice. Braised Tofu - Not too bad. Thai Fried Tofu - Kind of dry. Coffee Pork Ribs - Still okay not bad, the coffee smell is strong. 繼續閱讀

We went to Paradise Inn for simple dinner, where we ordered a pot of soup and two dishes. Sea whelk with pork ribs soup ($17.90) has a rich flavour, taste good at first, but later on I find it pretty salty. The ingredients are not too much either. Tofu with golden mushroom ($10.90) is nice. The tofu is silkly smooth, with egg flavour in it. The minced meat is cooked in oyster sauce gravy. Quite tasty. The steamed rice costs $0.80/each.When we nearly finish both soup and tofu, our sweet and sour pork is not served yet. Apparently the staff forgot to place the order at all. Reluctant to wait anymore, we decided to finish the rice with just the tofu gravy. Not a pleasant experience! 繼續閱讀

went to paradise inn last month for gathering, after my friend recommended the place. as we came early, we were seated quickly. there were several big round tables, good for big gatherings and the sharing of dishes.as there were 6 of us, we ordered many small dishes to try. thought of ordering the set but felt that it was not worth it and too much for just the few of us.each dish came in small, medium and large choices. we ordered small for each dish at an average of $10 per dish. certain dish being more expensive than others. the portion for a small dish was actually quite generous with just nice or more than enough portion for all 6 of us.we ordered the wasabi prawn (delicious) came with wasabi mixed with lots of mayo. the prawns were fresh and crunchy.also ordered the fried rice and seafood hor fun. tasted not bad. they were generous with the prawns in the hor fun with big crunchy prawns. the fried rice was just average.other dishes we ordered was the tofu. it came with a little heated fire wok with thick brwon sauce. the sauce was nice and there were little shrimp in it. su dong po meat(pork) - nice and soft and tender. with lots of meat and not too much fatsxiao bai cai - stir fried with garlic, tasted fresh and tasty.sweet and sour pork- crispy and deliciousfor desert, each of us ordered a bowl of desert. for me, i ordered the yam paste with ginko nuts. the yam paste was smooth and rich in flavour. it tasted as good as those famous ones that u but at chinatown. the overall experience at paradise inn was excellent. the food was simply delicious and satisfying. the service staff were also quick in serving us our food. for the shared meal of 7 dishes and more and a desert, we each paid an average of $15-20 inclusive of tax which was a reasonable price for a well satisfied meal. 繼續閱讀
