There was just something comfort about Braised stuff for me, I came here because of duck lunch today. Running by an old couple, they were busy happily helping each other. They normally will repeat customer’s order to avoid confusion, cheerful and friendly. Hanging chicken and duck looked tempting due to brightness of the stall, it was obviously well-maintained and in hygiene manner. Combination according to preference was allowed, menu was flexible.Good duck rice was much determined by the tenderness and tastefulness of duck, of course. Every slice of duck flesh was flavourful seasoned, the thickness was just perfect to bite. Talking about rice, the plate was full of fragrant rice with pouring of herbal gravy on top. Portion was enough, I felt satisfied after eating. $3.00 for my lunch, the price was clearly stated on the front stall.查看更多

I had went to Tanglin Halt Food Centre and saw a few stalls having long queues during Lunch time.One of them was Ah Ho Boneless Braised Duck & Chicken. As I was hungry today, I decided to order with rice instead.The taste of the duck skin was well braised, with a thicker than usual fat under the skin.However, the duck meat was tender, not dry but taste slightly to the bland side, without the braised taste, unless you dipped the meat into the braised sauce.Overall, I still preder the Old Buona Vista Boneless Braised Duck as it has a much sweeter taste of meat.查看更多

This stall specialities initally was Braised duck and chicken but a few years ago the owner has decided to sell Kway Chap too, apart from his rice and noodle. What attracted me was the braised meat and the assorted internal organs besides the braised duck. The pig's skin was done very well as the texture was chewy and not like some stores where the pig's skin were too soft that straight away you could feel it's going to be disintegrated once in the mouth. The soup base is nice and prices are reasonable, example with the braised meat, pig's skin, small pig's intestine and the kway chap only cost $3 and on top of it you may get a full spoonful of preserved vegetables free.查看更多
