Another favourite dessert from this very stall is sweet wheat. It was cooked nicely to give it a the soft and smooth texture. The sweetness level was just right. I would prefer to have it a little sweeter but i guess the sweetness is controlled because most of her regular customers are the elderly residents staying in the vicinity. This is one of the traditional desserts offer by at this humble stall.

This desserts stall serves several of the hot and cold desserts that are very commonplace. While this stall lacks variety, it makes up for it with the quality of the desserts. I tried out their bowl of green bean soup. It certainly tasted very homely and it reminds me of the green bean soup that I used to enjoy when I was a child. It is really quite nostalgic. The sweetness level is just right and the green beans are cooked with some sago (which are the transparent specks) which is a small and subtle twist to the soup.

This is an old school dessert stall offers only 4 types of desserts: green bean, red bean, cheng tng and da mai (大麦). It is served in an old school looking bowl and placed in a traditional looking red round tray. It is like those desserts in those good old days for only 0.80 cents per bowl. My current favorite is 大麦, it is a little too sweet but i enjoyed it very much. The goodness is definitely beyond description. The other recommendation is cheng tng. The sweetness is just right with a nice cooling effect. It is a bowl filled with goodness like longan, lotus seed, ginko nuts, barley etc. This is definitely a good choice to chill off particularly on a hot day. I have been eating at this stall for more than 10 years and still coming back regularly to eat here. Highly recommended.
