This is a famous stall for serving curry chicken noodle. I get to choose in between bee hoon, thick bee hoon and yellow noodle to go with the chicken and the curry gravy. It is the same type of white chicken served in the chicken rice stalls. The texture of the chicken was just right with its tenderness and juiciness still intact. It was then served in the aromatic curry gravy together with strips of tau pok. The curry gravy has got a comforting level of spiciness. It tasted quite good.

When I went for lunch today, I had to queue for around 15 minutes for Heng Kee Curry Chicken Noodles. Hoping that the long wait will be worthwhile, I was rather disappointed by the small bowl of curry noodles which costs $4. The savory gravy was sweet and spicy but lacking in the fragrance and flavour of coconut milk. The noodles blended well with the gravy but the serving was so little, I could finish it in 4 mouthfuls. Heng Kee is one stall that always attracts a huge lunch crowd. I didn't feel like waiting for the curry noodles but since my hubby wants to eat it, I decided to just queue for it while he looked for seats. Been thinking about this curry chicken noodle of late and I was at this area today and a must to have it. The prices had went up and now if were to have your choice of the chicken part, it has to be $5 and above. I had eaten from this stall many years already and thought they were good but unfortunately this time round, the standard of the curry has dropped and the curry base was sweeter which I am not a fan of it but the chicken was tender and okay.
