Birdnest in Coconut Milk
($9.80 for 5 grams of birdnest)
The price varies from the amount of birdnest in the dessert. The dessert looks quite interesting been served in a coconut, so I decide to try it by ordering it with the smallest serving of birdnest. It is served hot, but tastes only warm. I suspect that the dessert is just taken to heat up in microwave oven. The amount of birdnest is less than a spoonful. The dessert is quite thick and creamy but a bit too sweet. The fresh of coconut is quite hard to scrape out. Overall I am quite disappointed with this dessert.

D24 Durian Sago with Pomelo
($5.90)
The dessert is quite thick and creamy. It is quite great combination, although I feel the serving is a bit small.

Overall I feel that the desserts served is average. The service is quite slow, even the place is not crowded at all (there is just 2 other tables besides us). The stools are quite small and uncomfortable.

Our verdict, amongst the desserts we tasted, Traditional Steamed Milk Pudding, the coconut ice cream with peanut crush as well as the D24 Durian Sauce with Sago and Durian pancake are the ones we recommend trying.

Having seen photos on Instagram and Burpple on their Mango Cheong Fun ($6.00), we decided to go for it. To mimic Cheong Fun, a thin layer of coconut jelly was used to wrap the fresh mangoes. The result was a silken smooth skin that had pandan flavours, which matched the soft mangoes well. However, we found it a pity that the sweetness of the mangoes were overwhelming the subtle flavours of coconut. It was no doubt an interesting and innovative dish, but probably the flavours could be tuned to be more neutral on each other.

We initially expected something more similar to a Durian Mousse for our Durian Pudding ($5.50). Served chilled, it was really pudding-like as the fibres was also mixed into the pudding thus making it a wee bit stiff but flavourful for the pudding as it was full of the pungent fruit’s flavour. The mousse added the bittersweet flavour and a chew as it contained fibres.

With the trend of Liu Sha Bao getting common, Hee Kee Dessert has taken an unconventional approach by infusing the same concept to Tang Yuan. Their Liu Sha Tang Yuan ($3.80) comes with a choice of either Osmanthus Soup or Ginger Soup. The Tang Yuan seemed to be a tad thick, but the filling is full of sweet-salty goodness. We thought that there could be more fillings, but when it comes to liu sha, when can there be enough?

The second recommended dessert is the papaya with white fungus imperial sweet pot.It is actually made up of papaya, white fungus, longan, red dates and apricot kernel. Definitely recommended for ladies for beauty purposes. The soup is refreshing and the sweetness is just nice for my taste.
In conclusion,I would recommend my friends to hee kee for a dessert session after dinner.

2. This isn't the first time I am visiting this lovely Hong Kong dessert shop (read: first visit!).
When it first launched, I was excited to try it out because the menu attracted me a lot. Instead of the usual ice mountains, black sesame paste and the Hong Kong/Cantonese dessert routine, they offered their own unique creations with star ingredients like mango, coconut and durian. They know dessert lovers very well: I know for sure that everyone must enjoy at least one of these things. After a few months, Hee Kee Desserts had tweaked their menu and recipes according to customers' feedback to unveil a delectable spread of 80 desserts, all hand-made by their in-house chefs! How cool is that?
Do you know? Hee Kee Desserts is an original store conceptualized by my favourite bubble tea franchise - ShareTea! They aspire to cater to every palate with a tong sui menu selection that is essence of innovation while remaining mindful of traditions. During the media tasting, the team introduced to us the top 6 Hee Kee Desserts.

1. Homemade Beancurd with Gula Melaka
Perfect for: Ladies conscious of complexion-wellbeing.
This silky beancurd with gula melaka syrup is concoction that adds a sweet touch to the usual plain white beancurd. The beancurd also tastes fresh, light and silky-smooth.

2. Whole Coconut with Coconut Ice Cream & Peanut Crush
Perfect for: People who are nuts about coconuts.
This iconic tropical fruit is made into a refreshing dessert with rich coconut ice-cream and coconut flesh. Talk about coconuts overload? But nothing is ever enough for those who loves its rich and fragrant taste. Topped off with crushed peanuts for a light crunch, this makes for an interesting dessert. If for some reason you can't eat peanuts, there is also a Bird Nest in Coconut Milk which I've tried on a different occasion which I preferred.
Recommended meter: 3/5 (for the Peanut Crush version), 4/5 (for the Bird Nest version)

3. Mango Cheong Fun
Perfect for: Everyone
Everyone I know who have tried this has nothing but praises for it! Don't be fooled by the word "cheong fun", it is not the same cheong fun skin that you eat in chee cheong fun. This dessert is a healthy steamed treat with a voluptuous mango chunk enveloped by a super-silky spongy sweet coconut-infused skin. Warning: Do not share, it's so delicious, it won't be enough!

4. D24 Durian Sauce with Sago
Perfect for: Those who are looking for the durian desserts
The smoothness of the durian sauce is impressive and mixed interestingly with sago, you can be assured of an intense durian time with this dessert! Best to share as it can get a little heavy after a few sinful mouthfuls.
Recommended meter: 4/5 (only if you like durian!)

5. Durian Pancake
Perfect for: Those who love sugary desserts
This is a hearty dessert packed with rich durian puree and whipped cream, wrapped in a coconut-infused skin. This pancake didn't go too well with me because I am not a hardcore durian fan and prefer lighter desserts. This was too sweet and the durian taste overpowered any coconut flavours in the skin.

6. Traditional Steamed Milk Pudding
Perfect for: Everyone, especially those with small appetites but want to have desserts!
Another dessert that is largely appealing because it's so effortlessly good. Available in both hot and chilled versions, you can look forward to a light yet creamy and delicious dessert. It's very fragrant and easy on the stomach.

Other than Hee Kee Desserts, the other similar Hong Kong dessert place in Jurong Point is Ji De Chi. Having been to both of them, I think that they are actually much different. Ji De Chi is probably more suitable for people who crave for ice mountains and ice shavings with a lot of flavourings and toppings, but Hee Kee Desserts still win my heart with their creative menu selections, real ingredients and quality desserts. Grab your family members and head over to Hee Kee this weekend. Head on to http://www.amiehu.com/2014/08/sponsored-hee-kee-desserts-jurong-point.html to find out the 10% off promo code (valid till 19 August 2014).

Tongue-tantilizing yam paste and the portion was just right. It is really smooth and you don't feel oily after finish the whole bowl.

The only turn down of this visit was their Liu Sha Tang Yuan(Salted egg custard) sold out for the day. I was told that because their Liu Sha Tang Yuan was handmade and hence limited amount per day and always sold out at night. I think i should have pay another visit for that, for SURE.

Mango Cheong Fun ($3.30 per piece) - Steamed spongy sweet-coconut infused skin filled with mango chunk. Wrapped nicely like a gift, look at how 'shiny' and silky those skins were? It's such a great combination, sweet mangos wrapped with coconut skin. Just thumbs up.

Whole Coconut with Coconut Ice cream & Peanut Crush ($8.80) - It's indeed a refreshing dessert, filled with rich coconut ice cream and coconut flesh, topped off with crushed peanuts. This dish reminds me of the famous coconut ice cream in Bangkok, it tasted almost the same. It comes with a cup of refreshing coconut juice as well.

Durian Pancake (From $3.30) - I'm always a durian pancake fan and this dish satisfied my craving. The durian pancake at Hee Kee is a hearty combination of rich durian puree and whipped cream, wrapped in coconut infused skin. One thing I've to emphasized - the coconut infused skin tasted heavenly! Having it alone was already good enough, adding on the durian puree filling was just pure shiok-ness.

If those dishes I've mentioned above excites you, be sure to visit Hee Kee to get your dessert fix! You can get to enjoy sweet treats in a vintage-inspired 40-seating setting with your loved ones.

What will I be having? This week, Hee Kee Desserts is promoting mango-themed sweet offerings, which fits perfectly into my tastebuds. This curious looking dessert neatly bound by a strand of pandan leaf is the Mango Chee Cheong Fun 甜蜜芒果肠粉 ($3.30/pc). Before the usual chee cheong fun imagery floats into your mind, rest assure that it only looks the part! The white coat that the sweet mango fruit is wrapped around in, is made of silky fragrant coconut! Wow, couldn't be more in love with this place already. I love coconuts, and I love mango. Now they've married both elements in one, what can I say? I'm hooked. Next time I'm having one of this on my own!

The next mango-licious dessert is the Mango with Pomelo & Alphonso Mango Ice Cream 芒果金捞($6.50), a convergence of lusciously sweet mango puree and mango sorbet-textured ice-cream. A predictably hot favourite and the one that everyone picks when in doubt because it's so consistently good.

Don't let your eyes fool you, it is the same dessert... with three different flavours to boot! Trio Delight 拼盘三宝 ($6.80) is meant for the indecisive. Why choose when you can have it all? From the glutinous red bean paste to the mango-pomelo with glutinous rice balls and then to the durian puree, this is definitely a dessert fit for royalty.
I don't usually like glutinous red bean paste, but Hee Kee Desserts's version is very good. Much better than any other I've tried, even including Ah Chew and Honeymoon Desserts. It is sweet, and it is not grainy at all, which is my pet peeve for all the pastes. What's more, the red beans used were really very fresh and there was just the right dosage of coconut milk to go around. The mango-pomelo with glutinous rice balls fell flat on the exciting meter, though it's the safest option out there. The durian puree is extremely strong, rich and fragrant in durian taste, it cannot be anything but well, durian. Not a voluntary fan of durian but this is solid, real stuff through and through... durian fans would love this!
If you think Hee Kee Desserts is one of those run-of-the-mill Hongkong dessert shops, do reconsider because its menu promises a very different, self-concocted range of desserts even though they are using generic ingredients like coconut and mango. I think I'll be going back to try some other desserts, this visit has got me bursting at the seams already.

Looks aside, the food was quite disappointing. My sister and I shared a bowl of Mango with Pomelo and Vanilla Ice Cream dessert ($5.50). First of all, the service staff only gave us one spoon. It’s not a given to be expected to be given another spoon since it’s obvious we are sharing but some form of initiative would have been greatly appreciated. The mango dessert comes with pomelo fleshes which were very bitter and they are not the soft variety. They were hard and do not go well with the dessert. Furthermore, there is this lump of ice which I did not know if it was supposed to be like this or it didn’t melt completely. The mango was also quite bland but the scoop of vanilla ice cream helps to sweeten the deal.

Overall I am not impressed with the service and the food but I only tried their cold desserts so maybe I had return to try their other mango-related desserts.

Her interior design had displayed the style of a modern dessert cafe where you can find in Hong Kong. Steamed Milk & bird-nest were seen as well, featuring those popular Hong kong Desserts.
Specializing in Hong Kong dessert, I would say that their variety is way lesser than its competitor which is located about 100m away, Ji De Chi (记得吃). Perhaps the only starring item they had over them is its Custard Egg Yolk Rice Balls and Bird Nest Menu, other than that, the desserts items were very typical.

Sesame paste was a total letdown. Firstly it was not warm enough then it was not that smooth and was rather watery. A vast difference from what we had expected. In the end we had almost the whole bowl left untouched. This had caught the person In-Charge's attention and she had confronted us to take our feedback. Service wise is still average and she had offered us for another bowl of dessert but we rejected.

Mango sago with pamelo is top in my dessert list whenever I see them in the menu. It was kind of disappointing when the pulps of pomelo tasted bitter and mango tasted raw. Sweet taste is very lacking, it did not give the right punch into the stomach to someone who love such dessert.

The difference between this and the former is perhaps its cost which was additional of $2 for the mango sorbet that topped the bowl of dessert.

One of its signature desserts, Custard Egg Yolk Rice Ball in Osmanthus Soup. Soup was not really warm with hints of ginger and Osmanthus smell was not very obvious or close to none.

The combination of the mushiness from glutinous rice balls with the sandy texture of Custard Egg Yolk did not appeal to me.

Perhaps this had marked my first and also the last trip to Hee Kee. The replacement of Lucky Dessert Stall to Hee Kee doesn't really turn things out well. Little Moo is going back to patronise Ji De Chi.
