From the outside, the setting of the restaurant brought us back to the coffee shops in the old days, those that we see in old photographs, but now in air conditioned comfort. My friend and i decided to try the laksa and curry chicken dishes which looked so yummy and impressive on the poster menu. The floor and tables were quite dirty. Was tired after shopping so I went to Toast Box for a drink with my friend. I ordered ice milo and the milo there is really thick! I'm not a fan of milo dino or any milo drinks that are very thick so I find this a little to heavy for my liking. My friend loved it though, saying that it was sweet enough and the milo taste is strong. The place is a little crowded especially during the weekends.

I love the toast at toast box. The thick slab of bread coated with a thick layer of peanut butter. Totally sinful and fattening. But it is so nice that you will completely forget how fattening it is and just enjoy eating the whole thing. The spread is kind of sweet but with the thick slice of bread, it somehow neutralizes the sweetness. A great breakfast to kick start a long day!
