As my family stays within walking distance from Tampines central, my mom and I decided to walk over and have our breakfast at Toastbox! We ordered a Hebi hiam soft bun set, which comes with a kopi/teh and 2 eggs. We also ordered one more drink, Milo thick toast and Otah thick toast. Having a good cup of kopi in the morning really makes my day! We ordered a kopi and a kopi c, both were not bad! Both of us love hebi hiam and is a must order when we see it on the menu! It is not evenly distributed though but tasted good! This is my first time trying Milo powder being spread on toast and I was surprised that I didn't really enjoy it. It tasted quite bland to me and I guess i prefer a thick dark chocolate kind of toast if there is I feel that too little Otah is spread on the toast and the Otah french loaf version might be tastier. …查看更多

I love the cake at icing room,especially the one which we can design the cake ourselve. The price was not very expensive and I think it deserve the price.The cake was really nice.I think it really good that they sell this kind of self design cake,it allow us to show our creative.While the other cake they sell was also very nice and yummy.The recommend flavour that i wanted to share was the vanila flavour.It was really very nice.:)…查看更多

Apart from the usual toast sets and noodles sets, Toast Box has now serving the new sandwich sets. I tried their Tuna and cucumber set ($3.80) and totally in love with it. The tuna filling is satisfying huge in portion, served with lots of diced cucumber and onion, dressed in mayonnaise sauce. I like the buttery crispy toast too. Bacon and egg set ($3.80) on the other hand, might not be as tasty. The sunny side up is descent, but I reckon the bacon is a little too hard and has this greasy after-taste. Not a fans. …查看更多

:)Today, I pass-by this stall. I want to have some snack and decide to buy cake.A Vanilla cup cake with chocolate cream and candies spread on top. You can tell that the decoration is so pretty and the chef has eternal ideas after glance through their cakes display in the showcase. So it is very attractive and seduction to the eaters. :)There are two options of flavors to choose black forest or Vanilla is your preference and there are choices of different sizes of the cake 4” is $11.80 choice is only Vanilla, 6”is $20.80 and there are bigger size 8’’ is $28.80.We chose the size of 6” with black forest flavor. The staff serves us the cake onto the stand and hands us all the necessary colorful piping bags and icing decor for us to proceed with our decorations. It will be extra cost for additional icing decor, usual is $2.00 per packet; but I find that it is much enough unless you are more creative type and make the cake more sophisticated.It is really fun to draw on the cake although this is not our first time decorating the cake. This is a cake shop that allows customer to decorate their birthday cakes with icing, decorations etc.I decided to bring my son to customise and decorate a birthday cake for my sister. We chose the smallest (4 inch) $11.80. There are bigger size (6 inch $20.80) or (8 inches $28.80). There are two flavours to choose from - Vanilla or black forest. We chose the vanilla flavour. After which, the staff put the cake onto the stand and passed us the icing decor & colourful piping bags for us to proceed with our decorations. It is really fun to draw on the cake since this is our very first time decorating the cake. We enjoyed the process very much.Once you have completed with the deco, the staff will keep the cake for you into a box. You can bring the cake back. We tried the cake at home, it is quite soft and tasty. Best of all, its our very own cake. My sister was very happy to receive the cake from us. This Toast Box is very busy & very difficult to get a seat. The wooden tables and chairs are very narrow and place very close to each other. It is cramp & not meant for private conversation. It is a cafe where you can have a quick local meal at reasonable price for air-con comfort.It is self service where you place your order and pay at the counter. For order such as curry chicken, mee siam which require more preparation, you are given a number tag to wait for your food to be served at the table. For drinks and cake you bring them yourselves.We saw them selling cakes such as cherry cake which we used to see as kids at those old bakery. We bought a piece to try. The soft sponge cake is filled with top layer of butter cream and topped with a cherry and some jelly jam. The taste is quite good and bring back memories of the good old days. i was surprised tt icing room selling muffin, The soft and moist muffins have been talked about to death already, and I have nothing to add other than that they sometimes give me an uncomfortable sugar rush. The (Valrhona) chocolate is lush. This treat is definitely worth the wait! Muffins that is soft and fluffy and not too sweet. The only problem will be choosing which flavors u want from the wide selection!The brownies are also a must-try! I like it that we can DIY our own cake. In fact, this is the reason I visit this bakery as I think not many bakeries offer such service. I ordered the smallest cake which costs $11.80 and am given 4 tubes of cream, 1 tube of jelly (the one in red) and icing sugar. Though it is fun designing my own cake, I think that it the taste of the cake ought to be improved. Despite the fact that it is fruit cake, there is not much fruits and is filled with cream. I love mango!Well, it doesn't taste like cake at all. It consists layers of pudding like mango cream and chocolate cake. On top are mangoes, which I think the mango is a bit sour. The Icing Room is really good at creating many variety types of cakes and pastries. Especially fond with their custard cookie puff, which is with a crunchy outer layer and generous amount of fresh cream inside the puff. I ordered their medium size one. It came in black forest (chocolate) or vanilla. I opted for the black forest one. They give me 3 icing frosting to decorate my cake. I picked the Apricotte. A layer of caramel on top, with apricot mousse in between the cake. First bite, I found it so ordinary! I must admit I'm quite disappointed with the cake, not that i was expecting much though. And the berry was sour. I found it quite interesting was Icing Room have a place to do-it-yourself cakes. Unusal cake shop where you can buy a cake and decorate and of course bring it home and that's exactly what we did.Bought a plain cake in vanilla flavour but actually inside is full of blue berries or normally we call the black forest cake.Seeing the excitment and thrill on my daughter's face when she decorate the cake mades me feel the cake is worth buying and this is not only a child's play as there are many parents enjoying decorating their cakes with their kids and i think this is quality time well spend with our beloved ones.…查看更多
