Marina Bay Sands is one place i will like to avoid especially during peak hours cause it get super crowded with all the tourists and/or locals! But due to some unforeseen circumstances, i had to settle dinner at MBS with my friend.Long queue when i reached but luckily there's a table available for us so my friend sat down first while i queue to buy food. Both of us had the same thing! Mee Rebus =) It's been quite a while since the last time i had mee rebus from Toast Box so i was happy to order this item. It cost $8.20 for the mee rebus set meal and includes a drink! It's a pretty big portion and i love the way they did the eggs! The egg yolk is the soft soft kind i like =) Super shiok to enjoy it with my iced cold barley!

When I'm at an area like Marina Bay Sands, my dining choices are reduced to either as cheap as possible or go big and expensive. I opted to have a cheap lunch at Toast Box and ordered their Kaya Toast set. Usually I will order the thick toast when I eat here but this time I decided to try a different item. I really like this even compared with Ya Kun's kaya toast. Very buttery and crunchy plus the kaya was delightful although a tad sweet (Ya Kun's kaya is also very sweet). Eggs are not as big Ya Kun but they made it up with a very shiok drink called the Gula Melaka Ice Coffee.

photos and more: http://andmorefood.wordpress.com/2013/06/13/toast-box-town/this is one of a few chains in singapore upping the ante on our traditional coffeeshops: serving the same dishes at a more consistent delivery (though therefore imbuing it with more factory-type monotony) amidst the modern comforts of air-conditioning. I'm not a huge proponent for local food - it's usually a little too heavy on the carb and grease; but I do enjoy the simpler things, like dipping toast into a half-boiled eggs darkened with soy. and while the prices here may be higher than at your neighborhood joint, there's something to be said about clean tables and surroundings, and much to be said for air-conditioning in singapore's unforgiving heat.we ended up here after a trip to the gardens by the bay and had a filling meal: eggs and plain thick toast (the thicker, the better), nasi lemak, as well as a bowl of mee rebus. cheap, decent, filling food - arguably the best value in this extravagant mall. and a great introduction to local food, if you're so inclined.

I was walking around marina bay sands with my relatives. We decided to stop by toast box for some tea. I ordered their otah toast. Not many toast places have savoury toast, they normally only have those common ones like peanut butter or kaya and butter. I like toast box’s otah toast. The otah itself is very moist. The bread is toasted to crispy so it is a little dry. so when you put the moist otah on the dry toast, it taste really good.

This malay dish is one of the best seller here. Usually sold out really fast so must be there early before no more. The main reason for such a good sales is that the chilli gravy here is thick in texture and filled with the fragrant from the malay spices and chilli pastes. the orange colour thin rice noodles are also chewy too. Add in some lime juice to enhance the flavour will be great too.
