Finally tried their Crispy salt pepper mushroom which is priced at $3.20. There was quite a lot but mostly were made up of batter. One person can't possibly finish it as it felt like I could only taste the fried batter. They should not separate the mushroom into very small pieces as the taste of the mushroom could not be felt at all. I won't be purchasing this again.

Shihlin snacks has always been known for their fried chicken. Today i decided to try the plum fries instead.It cost me $2.80 for a packet. I like it the fact its fried on the spot. Taste wise, it actually feels more like potato fries to me. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Not the most healthy snack around but certainly fix the craving for snacks . Will try the tempura next time. Over here, you place your order at teh counter, then wait for your order to be called.

My hubby and I tout the XXL Crispy Chicken as the ultimate satisfying snack to have when you’re hungry but it’s not meal time. The chicken cutlet is coated in a light batter that is crispy and seasoned well while the chicken itself is moist and tender. Caution: However tempting it is to bite into a piece as soon as you get it, it is really hot since it usually comes just fried. We have suffered many occasions of burnt tongues due to our eagerness. You have been warned.

there are 2 dishes i always order here, one is the crispy xl chicken chop $3.80, the other is the fried sweet potato. As its usually prepared on the spot, feasting on the chicken while its hot is definitely enjoyable. Together with the enhanced flavor with pepper and chilli powder, the chicken chop is one unhealthy snack but certainly fix the mid day tea time hunger.

After hours of shopping with my girlfriends, I got really hungry so we decided to head to the basement to look for food. we ordered a pack of shihlin XL crispy chicken to share. The portion of the chicken is really huge. Despite cutting into smaller pieces, the bag of chicken was pretty heavy. I learnt my lesson not to stand too close to the person seasoning the chicken, the spices will go into your nose and it gets pretty irritating. Was really curious on why there's always long queue outside this food kisok and decided to give it a try on their signature deep fried crispy cutlets. I have choosen to have my chicken cutlets to be the spicy version. Less than five minutes, a big packet of really hot and fragrant chicken cutlets was presented to me. At less than four dollars per packet, I think the price is reasonable. The chicken meat is very crispy and and juicy and the outer crust is also very crispy and not too oily too

Smooth and nice mee sua is always the signature dish at all outlets for Shihlin. This is no surprise to anyone that here has one of the most sellable and best flavour of mee sua. The gravy is thick, spicy and filled with the nice fragrant from the dark soy sauce used in it. The mee sua is easy to eat and swallow. The portion may not be that generous, but the quality of it is always there.

I was feeling hungry before my errand and I just went straight to this stall and got myself a bowl of oysters mee suah to eat. Due a body rash, I had tried hard to abstain from seafood for awhile but somehow today I 'broke' the rule and went ahead to have this food. luckily the oysters were fresh and with a touch of vinegar, this mee suah just tasted super. I finished within minutes.

I was surprised to find a shihlin at far east plaza. I went and bought my favourite oyster mee sua. The oyster mee sua from shihlin is indeed delicious sometimes I can eat up to two bowls. The mee sua is very smooth, the gravy is thick and tasty. They normally give three oysters, the oysters are really fresh and sweet. I love it when they added the vinegar and chilli. It really spices up the bowl of mee sua.

It is my first time trying seafood tempura; usually I will order the xxl Crispy Chicken. The Seafood Tempura is shaped like potato fries. The sprinkle of shihlin’s specially blended spice powder completes this delicious and crispy Taiwanese delight. However, there seems to be a lot of starch used and I did not realize it was seafood. This dish costs about $2.50.

Their Shihlin Oyster Mee Sua was really delicious. The soup is very thick and tasty, the mee sua are very fine and soft. The oyster was fresh and juicy. They are also very generous with their shredded chicken. Their chilli goes really well with the soup, along with the vinegar, it really makes an ideal meal.

I was walking around far east when I got pretty hungry. As dinner time was approaching I decided to just get some light snacks. I ordered the sour plum potato fries. it was awesome. The potato they used were sweet potato so it was kind of sweet already. They deep fried my order upon ordering so the fries were very crispy. They were very generous with the sour plum powder. When you eat the hot crispy fries with the sour plum powder, it had this sweetish soury taste. Yummy!

One of the signature dish in Shihlin taiwan snack stall, ever since i ate one i always buy it home after school. The serving is big, the chicken is crispy and crunchy and spicy hot! Always ask the person to sprinkle more chili powder to have the extra hotness. The chicken is really big so it wouldn't be a surprise if you find yourself having to bring home leftover. Although it will turn soggy and a little yucky when it's cold, but it tastes awesome. But best to eat it hot.

I ordered their number 1 dish : Fried chicken. They would cut up the fried chicken, and sprinkle our favourite chilli powder on it.The fried chicken was flavourful, but after eating it, I was incredibly thirsty. I did not have this thirst when eating KFC. This was okay, as I just bought a glass of drink from another nearby stall.
