My craving for Taiwanese street food brought me here to order their Sweet Plum Potato Fries. I had the real deal in Taiwan and I was craving for another serving of crispy sweet potato fries covered in plum powder. The portion of fries was pretty small, and individual fries were more on the thin and scrawny side. The fries were powdered but it was not the plum flavour I was anticipating, just some flavour I couldn't discern. Shihlin Taiwan's Mee Sua is DELICIOUS!!The thick flavourful gravy together with the slurpy mian xian taste yummy! The oysters given is also fresh and juicy. Though it may be a big portion, you can definitely eat at least 3/4 of the bowl in no time!! (that's what happened to me) haha~Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks also sell the Big, Fried Chicken Cutlet that taste somewhat like the actual ones in Taiwan, and other snacks like the cheese crepes and sweet potato fries!! I had XXL chicken bento for dinner that day. I seldom buy it but I happened to pass this outlet and smelled its fragrance so I gave in and bought the bento. The big piece of chicken was cut into many smaller pieces. At first, it was superbly delicious, hot and spicy together with the seasoning however, the more I ate, the more saltier it became and I soon had enough of it. :)This new stall is located in between Pasir Ris' MRT station and Bus Terminal. During evening time, you usually see a short queue for this eatery; I personally do not think all the food they serve can suit our local taste. This time I try on the Taiwan’ so call famous snack; the oyster mian xian with shredded chicken meat, the taste of the soup is alright, but is a bit salty to me. It contains of mee sua, shredded chicken meat and a few pieces of oyster which the size is quite big and fresh juicy are added and blend well with the mee sua. It does not fill my stomachs full. This Shinlin Taiwan Street stall is newly located between Pasir Ris MRT Station and Bus Terminal. The stall provides varieties of Taiwanese' Street Snacks.I choose the Sweet Potatoes Fries which on top spread with Plum powder. For $3.80 per bowl, the serving of noodle is quite small and perfect for an afternoon snack. One of the stall's highlight and a popular taiwan xiao chi or small snack, the mee sua or fine mee is soaked in sauce. Finely sliced boiled chicken and a few pieces of oysters are added to eat serving. The sauce is not too sweet or salty and blends well with the noodle. The noodle has a rich taste of the sauce as the sauce are soaked into it. The oysters are quite fresh and juicy. Every bite of the oyster will bring you back to the sea side. There was a queue and not a long one but I found out later that most of the order was more than 2 items from the menu and that was why it took me ages to have my teeth sunk on the cutlet. I was glad with the texture of the chicken and the taste was good, easy finger food yet required no licking of fingers and just pierced the chicken with a stick.. wonderful sweet potato fries. nice and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. nice portion but rather pricey for fries. love the sweetness of the sweet potato. best eaten while hot. but it does travel well for up to an hour, then it starts to get too soggy. would not recommend their fried chicken as it's too tough and too much breading. the chicken also seems to be refried just to reheat it. they have only about 10 items on the menu but the sweet potato fries is the best!…查看更多

Though the queue for this eatery is usually kinda long, I do not think that the food is good. Personally, I find that the oyster mee sua (as shown in picture) is too salty. The fried chicken which is supposedly the most popular item is also quite a disappointment as it doesn't taste fresh. Shihlin’s fried chicken is one of the best chicken cutlet around ( not including restaurants). It cost $3.50 and the portion is quite big. So value wise, it’s definitely a thumbs up. the chicken is well marinated and tender. The only lacking point is that the flour wasn’t fried till crispy . Didn't know what to eat for lunch since there is a variety of stalls at the basement of 313. In the end i still decided to eat shih lin oyster mee sua instead. As i do not eat oysters at all, i told the lady that i do not want the oysters and she was so kind to tell me that since i do not want the oysters she will give me more chicken shreads instead. Went there with friend for dinner. Actually we wanted to order Oyster Mee Sua and Crispy Tapioca, but the oyster mee sua was out of stock. End up, we just ordered Crispy Tapioca. This was the first time I ate this flavor. It was not bad after all. The tapioca was fried on the spot, so it was crispy and hot when served. The spices they sprinked on the tapioca makes it so delicious. The taste was just right, not too spicy or salty. Do not know what’s the hype about all these small Taiwanese snack kiosks so I decided to give it a shot. Seems like a lot of people like to order the oyster mee sua, too bad I was not a fan of oysters if not I would have gave it a shot. To order the mee sua without oysters is rather dumb.
