Recently it has gone through an update in its menu. Improvement has been made in the old dishes. There has been an additional dish of Crispy Salt Pepper Mushroom ($2.80) which is available in 4 different flavours : Seaweed, Sour Cream, Wasabi and Kimchi.  The Sour Plum Potato Fries ($2.80) is now bigger in pieces compared to last time. One can really tastes the sweet and soft sweet potato.

 But the XXL Crsipy Chicken ($3.80) still not crispy enough. The crispy skin peels off easily from the meat.

Overall the food still got hits and miss. Service still quite poor, as the staff do not really take note who order first. Just call out whatever dish is ready for takeaway. What means whoever who stands in front will get his food first.

 Huge and tender piece of boneless chicken breast, it was well-marinated and coated with imported flour. Golden layer of crispy skin, the signature chilli powder did a great job. It costed $3.80. Nana has bought a packet of the 超大雞排 XXL Crispy Chicken for $3.50 on the way home. The large, tender and succulent piece of boneless chicken breast, coated with flour and fried to a golden crisp. A special blend of oriental spices and chilli powder is sprinkled on top of the crust, and the chicken is cut to bite sized pieces before being packed. The staff is too generous with the chilli powder as it tastes quite spicy. The crispyness is not enough and the meat tastes a bit dry.

The picture of this plum sweet potato stick is so attractive, so i decided to try on it.It costs $2.80.The sweet potato is cut into stick shape and they are fried.They taste nice.They are crispy and they are soft inside.It taste a bit like french fries, but it is more tasty.The plum powder on it make it taste a bit sour,so it is so nice.It also got a bit spicy,so make it taste nice.I realy like this snacks.Good try

the service staff will greet u with a smile before taking your order..they are very generous in their chilli powder when u said u wanted the chicken with chili. most of the time, the chicken are being fried on the spot,but there will be waiting time,howeveer it's piping out when u get it..would love to try their bento box the next time i visit,cox it looks yummy too!

Shared this with colleagues for snack. To be honest, if I were to consume it alone, I would have asked for extra spicy. I tried that once, and my whole chicken breast is covered with the chili powder, completely. Only I could take the level of spicy as it was super duper spicy. Ok, now, let's look at this normal, flavored a little with chili powder and pepper (one of my colleagues can't take spice). So, you can actually taste the chicken breast freshness and the juice with so little spices added into it. To be honest, you can only really taste the food if the ingredients or condiments is at it's minimum or none. The chicken is not as fleshy but tender and smooth. A little bit oily but luckily not as oily as we might thought fried food will be. Packed with calories and fat, people should only have this as occasional treat!

My first time trying their bento set!I seriously think it's not bad at all ;)It's make up of their famous fried chicken, pork or chicken floss and rice!I love this feeling and sinful meal, i mean once in a while right This is a must try but i'll recommend you go early!I bought during lunch time and have to wait with the lunch time crowd for my food! But no regrets, i love their chicken very juicy The floss is a nice touch to the meal and makes it even tasty

For $3.80 per bowl, the serving of noodle is quite small and perfect for an afternoon snack. One of the stall's highlight and a popular taiwan xiao chi or small snack, the mee sua or fine mee is soaked in sauce. Finely sliced boiled chicken and a few pieces of oysters are added to eat serving. The sauce is not too sweet or salty and blends well with the noodle. Well, this is a definitely must try food from Shihlin. I am actually a fan of deep fried food, so when i first visited Shihlin, their sweet plum potato fries was actually the first food that caught my attention. Golden fried sweet potatoes served with their speciall blended plum powder, yummy yumy. The potatoes are crunchy and their irresistible fragrance just somehow boost your appetite level up to the max, The price too, is quite appropriate with the portions served

I seems to think all of their food variety are all very super nice Today i had the Mushroom cheese egg crepe which is really to die for There wasn't a crowd when i went since its a weekday afternoon. Today's labour day holiday, so many people around! Went to takeaway Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks back home There's quite a number of people around, long queue! I bought the Handmake oyster mee sua However i don't eat oysters, so i always get the staff to omit that. Luckily when i brought it home, it was still pipping hot when i open it up to eat. I love their mee sua, always very smooth to eat. It always a delighting full feeling after eating this. I love the sour vinegar that helps to improve the taste even further

This Taiwanese all time flavourite snacks is well like by Singaporeans. The chicken cutlet is really big in portion and has been coated with bread crumbs before deep frying. It is very crispy outside and the meat inside is very juicy, tender and not too hard. One of the highlight to these chicken cutlets are they actually topped with some spicy chilli flakes which added some spicyness to it. I stopped by Shihlin for a snack, I have always been their sees food tempura fan. This time I saw some crepes on the menu, so I decided to try out the cheese & mushroom crepes. It costed about 3.5 $. They took a while to prepare it, then packed it in a box,topped some sauce on it & gave it as a take away. I immediately tasted it, the crepe was nice and crispy. I could smell the chicken cutlet from a distance;DI was so tempted by it that I bought it as my dinner. Ordered one with chili powder.They were fried on the spot, as usual. Could see that it was a really big portion.(:I did not wait too long before I got it and it was really hot, freshly made;DIt was tender and rich with the flavouring…love it^^I got really full after finishing the whole portion!xD also love it that the outer is so crispy.Really worth it!;D
