It's the time of the year again as everyone indulge in their favorite mooncakes. No exception for me too but i'm just recovering from a bad cough so no mooncakes for me now =_=Luckily just before i got the cough, my supplier gave us 2 boxes of mooncakes from Chop Tai Chong Kok. I couldn't resist when i spotted the egg yolk and double some more! I still like the ones from tradional cake shops like Chop Tai Chong Kok. Simple, good and fragrant despite being a sinful treat! Just relax and eat =) 查看更多

No, it's never too early for a piece of delicious moon cake baked especially from the Traditional Da Zhong Guo (Tai Chong Kok) located in Chinatown. Despite so many fanciful flavours we had in a moon cake nowadays, the traditional thin crust baked double yolk moon cake still mark its originality. The shiny looking moon cake was placed in a disposable package . The big piece of moon cake crust was actually a very thin layer covering the semi-sweet lotus paste and double egg yolk. Immediately I fell in love with it as most of the crust are of very thick.Cost: S$10.20I love this Green Bean Rice Cake since I was young. Since I saw it stacked nicely in the shop, I took one packet wanting to have a reminiscent of my good old days. Well, I would say it was not as dry and hard as those yellowish in color Rice Cake we got from normal provision shop. The exterior was casted with the chinese character "shu" which indicate that its vegetarian. Cost: S$2.20 / packWe didnt get to have the traditional paper bag and instead we have its plastic bag as our purchase wasnt that much. Service was prompt and the cashier auntie was friendly. I will be back again when festive seasons are nearing again. 查看更多
