Back to one of my fav chinese restaurant for their minced pork la mian, and this time I chose to order some dim sum along with it as well. I love how juicy the big prawns are inside the har-gows although it's slightly pricey! The rest were just pretty mediocre.You have to and must try the la mian here, for it's good and super affordable!

The dim sum was fresh and excellent, simple things like siew mai or cheong taste surprisingly better than many other places. I like that you can order the dim sum by pieces, so you don't have to order 4 xiao long bao. The minimum quantity for each dimsum is 2 pieces, just the right amount. It's is also worth mentioning that the Chinese tea is only $1.20 per head and you get a cup that allows you to individually brew your tea leaves. I love their soup (can't remember the name but it cost around $6). We ordered some mushroom minced meat stuff and xiao long baos. The Xiao Long Baos did not make the mark. The skin tasted a little soggy and broke easily even though it was quite thick. The soup broth inside was too salty. If it wasn't to satisfy my cravings, I would not have ordered this. Mayim serves a wide range of chinese delicies from ramen to dimsum. The dim sum is freshly made and juicy. it is cheaper compared to others. i highly recommend this place as it is clean and the service is good. They provide you with a basket to put your bag under your seats, rarely do you find restaurant which provides such services. I think it's pretty thoughtful! Food wise..... When you go to Mayim Chinese Cuisine, do try their Xiao Long Bao. One thing i like about this restaurant is that they allow you to order the number of xiao long bao you want, of course they have a minimum among of three pieces. unlike other places where the quantity is pre decided and may not be enough to go around. mayim allow you to order as many as you like and their xiao long bao is placed in cookie casing. i think to prevent the soup from seeping out should your xiao long bao skin breaks. y

Its been long since I last ate Guo Tie. Sorry I do not know exactly how to spell it in English. The price is actually a bit high and it only have a few of them as you can see in the pic. It is served with soy sauce and it is quite bigger than the normal size. It smells great and it tastes better!! It has all the nice taste in it and the skin is quite crispy yet it isn't too hardy. Mayim is the most popular restaurant at West Mall. It always has the longest queue during lunch or dinner time. I always love the food at Mayim.
