Waited 40min after placing order until first dish arrive on the table, this is a dim sum restaurant. Even pan fried carrot cake takes 40mins? Are you kidding me? The worst thing is the chef is just sitting outside chatting with his firends, while the whole restaurant, all table are waiting for their food!! 繼續閱讀

I love the Double-boiled Superior Shark's Fin in Shark's Cartilage Soup (鲨鱼骨炖中鲍翅)! It was superbly well done! The elegant ambience is traditional but has a contemporary feel to it. It uses the auspicious colours like red and also has a huge collection of different type antiques like paintings. It is great for family gathering! 繼續閱讀

Weekday Lunch with my friend - respectable standards with prompt service.Since Pu-erh is the famous tea, I quickly told the waitress after sitting down. The waitress served soy bean sheets as appertiser nowadays, but still can request the captain to give another plate of peanuts if you know her well.We never look at the menu and just listen to the waitress's recommendation, then placed order accordingly. This was my third visit to this restaurant in my life and we enjoyed sumptuous Chinese cuisine such as dim sum like fried carrot cake, also known as Chai Tow Kueh for lunch.Perfect for a clear shark fin dumpling soup.Assam Cod Fish with lady fingers and crunchy broccoli with garlic sauce are considered our main course.Stewed claypot chicken with bitter gourd was not bad when mix with rice. Before bill settlement, we ordered Gui Ling Gao - herbal turtle jelly.Note: The manager will offer diners a complimentary cake on their birthdays. 繼續閱讀

Extricately beautiful packaging of these snow-skin mooncakes from Tien Court makes this a good choice to present this as a gift to business associates, friends or relatives. They look so pretty with their colours: Orange, Yellow, Pink, Green and Purple. It makes you so tempted to eat them, yet at the same time you wouldn't want to gobble them up at one go cos' you don't bear to! There's also Bird Nest snow-skin mooncakes but that's a bit too extravagant. The price is set at $36 for 8 mooncakes (the basic flavours). Each of them is about diameter 5cm, look at the empty hole in the picture above for the depth. When you open up the packaging, you will first be greeted by a wave of (rather intense) banana fragrance that is coated on each of the mooncakes. The fragrance is a little too strong for my liking... it is really the first thing you will notice when you open the packaging up.These snow-skin mooncakes do not have the sandy/powdery texture that most snow-skin mooncakes have, which is a plus point! It makes the whole mooncake feels very neat and exquisite. I love the mooncakes from Tien Court because there's a stamp of quality assurance on the packaging as well as the flavour. It might be a little pricey, but it is a special occasion to indulge after all 繼續閱讀

For pictures and full review, pls visit:http://madamechewy.wordpress.com/category/tien-court/Experience the art of Chinese fine dining at Tien Court at Copthrone King’s Hotel. Master Chef Ho Tien Tsai has made appearances in several episodes of cooking programs aired in Channel 8. Tien court serves a mix of Cantonese and Si Chuan cuisine. I have been here several times since Tien Court is my FIL’s favorite restaurant; my pictures are a collation from different visits. The food was ALWAYS good and the service was ALWAYS impeccable (may be due to the fact my FIL is a regular) 繼續閱讀
