Lunch in Qi Ji at Suntec City. Try to avoid the lunch queue at 12.30nn - 2.00pm.This cup of ice milo is always a must in Qi Ji. The taste of thick milo sliding down your throat, Best! The laska has a great coconut milk and dried prawns taste. The consistency of the broth was just right. The noodle was cooked perfectly. Plentifully of fish cakes and bean sprouts. The tou pok was frangrant. The only minus point was their cockles as they were way too small. The nasi lemak portion was quite reasonable. The rice was quite fragrant and not too oily. The chicken wing was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fried fish fillet have a nice fish flavour. The chilli was not too spicy and has a sweet taste to it. 繼續閱讀

Tucked in a quiet corner of Suntec is this bustling cafe WITH AN ACTUAL QUEUE of approximately 10 people. The food here is cheap and good -super affordable at only around $4 per plate, with a good selection of mee siam, laksa, various nasi lemak choices as well as chee cheong fun/siew mai/bao. You'd want to try anything that has their chilli in it (i.e. Nasi lemak) but the other dishes are pretty good too in my opinion.I ordered the laksa at $3.80 (with cockles instead of prawns because who doesn't love cockles in their laksa ) after queuing patiently. I have to say though, service is really efficient and you get served quite quickly -they are also generous with their portion and I'm glad to say they slabbed on a huge dollop of chilli into my laksa when I said I wanted chilli -marvelous!The laksa is rich and 'lemak', with this wonderful aroma of laksa leaves. The noodles aren't overcooked, and it goes just right with the gravy. The chilli, when mixed in, makes this dish utterly divine and I would have to say I'll definitely have more of this laksa!! The gravy was also piping hot and made for a perfect rainy-afternoon lunch. Prices varie across different Qi Jis if I'm not mistaken, I had nasi lemak at the Nex branch and I remembered it to be more expensive than the Suntec outlet. Still good nevertheless, and definitely still reasonable. 繼續閱讀

FoodAs the name said - Qi Ji somehow relates to miracle. We wanted to have tea break and was looking for somewhere to have a cup of cool barley. Thinking of its Poh Piah, we decided to go qi ji. Ordered a cup of Chrysanthemum and a cup of cool barley. Barley is good as I get to enjoy the grains.Wanted to order its tauhu goreng and poh piah, it seems like there is no snacks available for purchase. We waited for some time before we heard some one saying there are hot fried chicken wings coming out of the kitchen. They were deep fried till golden brown at $1.50 each. We ordered 4 pcs, one each. Together with its nasi lemak chilli, it tastes so great!ServiceService is moderate and maybe time management isnt there since the snacks are sold out. The cleaner is very efficient. He managed to clean the table very quickly even though there are many seats left - not much crowd.AmbienceThere are a few small groups gathered for their chit chat / discussions. Place is ok. It will be perfect if the snacks are available and we can chat freely over the snacks.PriceReasonable price.Recommendation / TipsNasi lemak, chicken wings as well as poh piah are famous in Qi Ji. 繼續閱讀

Like to eat the nasi lemak from this food stall as there are many different types of side dishes to go along with the fragrant coconut rice, which make it looks colourful and interesting as well. Their chicken cutlets are fried till very crispy and not too oily. Their otak is very tasty and slightly spicy. THe chilli paste is very appetitizing, which great for the rice and side dish. The egg omelette is also soft and chewy too. 繼續閱讀

Located at a corner of suntec, I nearly could not find this shop. I was not disappointed at all. I came here for brunch, and the shop was quite empty. Ordered their signature popiah. The popiah here can be considered one of the best that I have eaten. There was quite a lot of black sweet sauce, but the skin was still intact. The vegetable were cooked well, very flavorful. There were some crispy thing inside, which I could not figure out what it was. The crushed peanuts were very fragrant too. Those who love meat can add prawn or chicken for an extra 40 cents. A must try! 繼續閱讀
