Was at the place for some Ye Lai Xiang Cheng Tng and decided to patronize this Popiah Stall, the popiah costs $1.40/roll. Bought two rolls for $2.80. Fortune Food is kind of famous in Singapore, with quite a number of stalls located all around Singapore, they are specialise not only in Popiah, but they also do sell Kueh Pie Ti, Popiah Skin and also the various ingredients to make Popiah, like the chilli sauce, peanuts used to make Popiah. The 'chap chai', also known as vegetables used in the Popiah was very nicely cooked, the lady was generous with the portion of vegetables as well. With the other ingredients like egg, sesame, peanuts all added, its really one of the best Popiah in Singapore. But caution, the chilli is kind of spicy, so for those non-spicy eaters, please ask for less chilli or without chilli! Otherwise, the food is really fantastic and the lady is kind of friendly as well! 繼續閱讀

This shop seems to be quite quiet during today's lunchtime while the other stalls are having queues, thus I decide to get some Popiahs ($1.40/roll). Other than ready-to-eat Popiah, they also sell Popiah Skin ($15), grounded crispy peanuts ($2), other Popiah Ingredients and also Kueh Pie Tee (5 for $3). The key to make a nice popiah is actually its steamed/stir-fried vegetables and also its chilli sauce. This stall has it all. They are very generous on its crispy peanuts and also the amount of vegetables. They used grated cucumber, bean sprouts and vegetables, with chilli sauce, sweet sauce and peanuts to enhance its taste. The skin of the Popiah is also not too thick. For a price of $1.40/roll, its really worth a try. 繼續閱讀

The Popiah $1.40 each . I'm a big fan of the Fortune Food Popiah at Parkway, so decided to give this one a try here. The experience wasn't too good, as the staff is real short of manpower. One auntie, prep, wrap and cashier on her own.So a few pieces of popiah i had to queue for about 20 mins. The woman behind me ordered more than 10. gd luck haha. The taste is okay. popiah skin is a little stale. filling is pretty generous. 繼續閱讀

I was puzzled when the auntie did not ask me whether i want my popiah to have chilli or no chilli. She went ahead to make it immediately after i made my order. She served it to me promptly and collected $1.30 efficiently. You might be wondering whether this popiah is with or without chilli since no question asked upon my order. The answer revealed after my first bite, it was with chilli. I suppose the default is with chilli unless you stated otherwise. Perhaps it is just me, i am quite disturbed by such standard of customer service. So, if you happen to be here and want a particular piece without chilli then you have to state in advance. The standard of this popiah was rather acceptable, though not the best but definitely not the worst. The filling was nicely seasoned and fried, then firmly placed and rolled to make one piece of popiah. The texture of the skin was of the right thickness with a little chewiness. 繼續閱讀

The 5 Kueh Pia Ti is served in a plastic bowl. The shell is not very crispy but a bit hard. The fillings of sliced bangkwang and carrots are topped with smashed boiled egg and celery. There is no sliced prawn which other place used as garnish. Taste wise is not bad and the shell was not soggy even after sitting around for 10mins. 繼續閱讀
