Fried food are always best when eaten hot, and the same applies to the food from dough culture. The Hum Chee Bing that I had was eaten straight away after buying. I bought the plain one, and it was very soft and salty, with slight taste of sweetness. The doughstick that i brought home however, was soggy already and had an extremely oily texture to it. Bad choice to buy it home. The review probably wont do justice to the you tiao, as it was left in the plastic bags for a period of time.

This stall is between the Takoyaki stall and Polar Cake Shop. It sells a variety of deep fried snacks, both sweet and savoury items. Bought a variety of the items to share with the family.Me having the sweet version of Hum Chee Peng, which is also called Red-Bean-Bun 红豆沙 as it reminds me of doughnut with red bean filling. Better eat it while it is hot. It will become quite oily when it is cooled.

Fried bananas - five balls of bananas for 2 bucks. Will you buy it? I bought this especially expensive fried bananas because I want to taste how special this banana is to costs this much. OK. Tasted and nothing special. In fact it is worst than those you find in teh tarik coffee shop or night market. I rather you people spent 2 bucks on five whole bananas then what perhaps just one long banana sliced up to five balls to cost you 2 bucks . It is oily and too mushy in it for the fried bananas in t

This, is really nice. "Dao suan" is one of my favorite hot dessert and I only eat them in dough culture as I already recognized them as the best dao suan ever I have tasted. Their "you tiao" however, because of the long keeping duration has already soften and is no longer crispy anymore. It will be good if the you tiao is crispy and then you soaked it in the dao suan to eat - it will gives a crispy yet soft and flavorful taste and texture. Or other wise you could wait for them to send the fresh youtiao to the counter and then queued up for the dao suan and buy their freshly fried youtiao to accompany your dao suan; because that's what I usually do for the sake to have the best eating experience to satisfy my craving
. A saying goes, better things come to people who waits. haha!
*I highly recommend to not leave the dao suan to cold as it will alter the taste of it and it will not taste as good as it is when it is hot !

First time ordering something from this stall, coz it's quite not obvious and not catching my attention. i am trying this for the sake of trying all the food stalls down there.. The food they sell are mostly fried fritters, fried durians, fried banana, and etc. The banana ball i tried costs me $2 if im not wrong. Skin is crispy but kinda oily and banana is not nice. Not worth trying.

When you look at these stall, you will be attracted to all the different types of interesting deep fried items available here. For me, my favorite among all these items will be their red bean dough. The dough is filled with very fragrant smell from the white sesame topped on it and the dough is really compact, moist and soft. The red bean filling is very generous and is not too sweet. The price is reasonable and great to have it with a cup of warm soya milk.

Usually there will be a crowd for this stall but the queue is quite fast as the items are ready made. I would especially recommend this stall as it's halal, suited for my malay friends who love to buy from there too!

I always buy several sticks of youtiao (fried dough sticks) from this store when I'm having porridge, as it is really tasteful and has a good price too When you sink your teeth into one, (recommended to eat while it's still warm), you will experience a slight crunch and no doubt there will be some oil, but wow, it's awesome, so much so that it's always sold out when one gets there, and you've got to wait for 5min tops. Fried "butterfly" from dough culture is one of the top seller. I like to eat this when is slight hot. Not really oily or greasy taste. The sesame outside the butterfly is crunchy and the sesame enhance the overall taste. They have discount if you buy 3 or more so not really cheap if you just buy 1 or 2.
